Anyone can become a template provider on DATUM with a VPS connected to their node and a domain, although it may require a step on the part of the hasher to verify that yes, indeed, you are not just throwing out the usernames sent to you and replacing them with your own Bitcoin address. It may need some extra things to be foolproof. But that's just it! SV1 is not foolproof! Better this than AlphaPool. So we should hope for more, or create more, template fallback services for fellow plebs and cypherpunks.

It's definitely important to have Stratum endpoints to use as backups when our servers go down. There can be template providers out there which provide such a service to miners. It's not a huge deal to have them exist. What matters is the incentives and the tradeoffs. DATUM and TIDES pools allow such template providers to operate within that ecosystem and offer compelling rates, competitive against basic SV1 KYC pools.

RATUM's blocks just show up as "mhr6091" on the main viewer, but that's just one of the many individual miner tags in its coinbase transactions. Other miners and pools similarly have weird logic for determining and extracting what tags are consistently there and what tags are not.

I am actually in favor of rethinking the difficulty adjustment algorithm (DAA) in Bitcoin (XBT).

I need to read more Aristotelian philosophy though to be more literate on the philosophy and especially the theology of it. St. Thomas Aquinas is THE Aristotelian Christian, and it is my understanding that he spells out in strict logical terms the entire basis and rationale behind the Catholic Church (Luke Dashjr's conception of it, not the rapist priests out there nor the blind followers of whoever people happen to call "Pope"). I'm not well educated on it yet but just offering you a place you might get started. Murray Rothbard developed anarcho-capitalism from St. Thomas Aquinas's philosophy and studied Aquinas's work on economics too.

Looks like #Bitcoin is switching PoW algorithms to BLAKE2b-256, basically Siacoin miners. Get some if you wanna contribute to its decentralization & security! Secondhand units are cheap right now. It's my understanding that any variant of BLAKE2b-256 ASIC will work, you just might have to tweak the config files for the ASIC when a guide is released. You can keep your SHA-256 hashers to mine (and sell) Fedcoin of course, or to try to continue the fight to decentralize Fedcoin, not sure how well that'll work out but I support you in your endeavours! If there is a movement to continue mining BIP-110, that would be awesome too, honestly that would be my preferred solution. Quite a pickle we cypherpunks are in. Oh well. Onward 🫡

It's kind of hard to just "not replay" a transaction. You have to set it up so that it cannot be replayed. Nodes connect and sync with each other, you know? Unless I'm missing something critical.
