The Stop Killing Games initiative has been picking steam back up, and I often think about the fact that a lot of modern rhythm games have some form of DRM or another to prevent playing if you're offline, or at least debuffing a lot of the functionality (in the case of Arcaea).
Only a scant few rhythm games, at least on PC and mobile, made in the last 10 or so years don't have online DRM, most notably Phigros and Orzmic, both of which are non-profit games.
Arcade rhythm games, at least many of them going out of service get offline patches.
But what happens to something like Paradigm Reboot or Rotaeno when those games inevitably reach EOS?
