I always hated that as I was eternally optimistic. But then again, I sacrificed everything for p2p, private, permissionless speech packets that had plausible deniability built in and could be used as money, or many other uses, so clearly I'm an idiot.

Yeah, theee was a good reason to press for the narrative to be that bitcoin is speech packets. But it is hard to unlearn a lifetime of brainwashing regardless how good the incentives.

I gave up waiting for apologies in 2017. I have forgiven everyone for the harm done intentionally as well as unwittingly. It's a good protocol and one I recommend.

American Christian here. (I call myself American cuz my family predates US Govt which has been a Leviathan since inception) and I think US Christians are to blame for a lot!
