For someone to say it's "troubling" that White Evangelicals are voting for Trump is a bit like saying it was troubling that Nazis joined the SS in their adoration of Hitler.
That's not hyperbole.
I mean, sure. It is troubling, but I think that underplays both the obviousness of the move and the seriousness of the threat.
White Evangelicals aren't being misled in their closely held beliefs. They want a very different world.
It's not a sociological but an anthropological topic.

Reminder that apartheid in South Africa was the invention of White Evangelicals.
America needs to come to terms with its understanding of White Evangelicals.
The KKK consists of White Evangelicals, for example. The Confederacy saw a massive uptick in the evangelical movement among its soldiers during the Civil War.
White Evangelicals are not the good guys. Never have been. Never will be. 82% voting Trump isn't "troubling," alarming, surprising, or anything other than on-brand.

Regarding the use of mules to bring supplies into hurricane stricken areas, I am only slightly annoyed that people keep referring to this as like the "Stone Age."
Mules only started to be bred in the late Bronze Age, were major parts of huge military operations in WWII, and continue to be essential infrastructure worldwide today.
"Technology" isn't just computers. Calling the use of these animals "Stone Age" is not only incorrect, but insulting in its "primitivizing" whole peoples.

Soon enough, I'll be moving at the speed of light (even a flat acceleration of 0.03 m/s puts me at light speed in about 320 years).
I assume you're talking centrifugal force of the Earth's rotation applying acceleration opposite the vector of gravitational acceleration, so I'll fall at 9.77 m/s/s at the equator, 9.8 at the poles.

One of my advanced degrees is in cultural anthropology. I, too, have a hard time wrapping my head around it (it wasn't my area of study).
I think, fundamentally, Trumpism *requires* that one sees whole classes of people as not human or not worthy.
#Trump is, for them, more qualified than Harris BECAUSE he's white and because he's male.
That's it. To them, anything but a white man may as well be a donkey. For them, it's an unjust parody of nature: grotesque.
