That's how German bureaucracy developed: People had to go through that tedious process of undressing before peeing several times a day. But with it comes the relaxing reward of being able to urinate.
Subconsciously, people linked complicated processes to natural needs. That's why for every need these days you have to go through paperwork etc.

While drawing parallels: Assuming the bad scenario, there will be one thing where history won't repeat itself.
It won't be over in 12 years.
It took the U.S. armed forces, the greatest military power, in addition to all of Europe's powers, to stop Hitler. Who is going to stop today's greatest military might (that alone received 37 % of the world's military expenditure in 2023 for example) when it goes of the rails?

Yes, true.
The unthinkable suffering that Germans have brought about other people while learning that lessons makes me wish I am totally wrong here.
I hope history doesn't repeat itself.

Yes. If you draw parallels to Nazi Germany it is very scary. The leader has pardoned J6 insurrectionist basically saying "it's ok, go for it!"
His fearful followers are hoarding guns for ages waiting for the day where they "have to" defend their families.
If a progrom is incited, it will be bad. I hope I'm getting the situation wrong.
Also, the situation seems very volatile. Do you think the firearms could fire back for the current administration?

Growing up in Germany, I still remember my parents generation who were toddlers in 1945 talk about "the war" or daily life "after the war". Even for members of the aggressors nation the war had created absurd devastation: fathers missing in action, life-shorting workloads for the mothers, infant death's, poverty, hunger, destroyed livelihoods, etc.
I hope White Americans won't have to learn about fascism the hard way - and spare a lot of grief to everyone else.

Please! Don't use goods and services from big companies. You use them at your own direct or indirect peril. If you need stuff, repair your old stuff, borrow it from friends or buy it from small suppliers still on a human level. Please.
