All Saints need the sustenance of God's Word daily. There are many good expositions of Scripture on this. Washer does an excellent job on his pamphlet summarizing the ordinary means of grace that God has provided in order to prepare His people in sanctification.
Examine yourself: if you do not feel called to live in the word, to communion with your Father daily, to fellowship at church... You might be decieving yourself.
The indwelling of the Spirit will make these things sure. There are no lone wolves in God's adopted family.

Note I have been running Fedora Silverblue, an atomic #Linux distro, for years now and am quite fluent.
Jumping directly to Secureblue will probably be quite difficult if you have never used Linux or Silverblue.
Early days for secure Linux, but the advent of atomic distros which contain the architecture needed to catch up to mobile OSes like iOS/Android/#GrapheneOS are finally stabilized enough to allow Secureblue to emerge.

This is why it is taught that Saints must live in God's Word, testing themselved against Scripture, to verify their election.
This is very difficult, it is a life transforming matter, and it is something that the unregenerate do not and cannot persevere in.
A saving faith is always accompanied by a transformed life and fruit that is pleasing to God.

I really do have a strong fellowship with a handful of tradcath brothers, but I am hard pressed to accept that:
I. The church should not be submitted harshly to the authority of God's Word.
II. That salvation requires anything other than a saving faith granted by God for His purposes alone.
Furthermore, like the Reformers, my research of Scripture exposes "apostolic succession" as a power grab; an extra Biblical institute designed to provide a faulty "one true church claim".
The doctrine and ways of the church must be handed down responsibly through sound discipleship, that much is plainly clear. Apostolic succession... does not exist in Scripture. Any qualified elder can lay hands on a pastor, ordinating him *through the authority of Christ*. There is no explicit lineage for church leadership this purpose like is frequently used in the Bible... It's not a thing. Succession is about responsibility of testing everything and *everyone* by Scripture.

In Trent's Canon 9, it is said that:
"If anyone says that by faith alone the impious is justified… let him be anathema."
This directly rejects Paul's teaching in Romans 3–5 and Galatians 2–3, where justification is by faith apart from works of the law.
In Trent's Canon 24, it is said that:
"If anyone says that the justice received is not preserved and also not increased before God through good works… let him be anathema."
This ties salvation to ongoing merit via works, turning grace into a cooperative system rather than gift of grace for those unworthy sinners of whom God has set aside to redeem.
In Trent's Canon 30, it is said that:
"If anyone says that after the grace of justification has been received, to every penitent sinner the guilt is so remitted… that no satisfaction is required… let him be anathema."
This reinstates penance and purgatory, a "works-righteousness" system and a denial of Christ's finished work.
Trent was a political, Antichrist council.

Nobody who has read Scripture will come away thinking the end of times will be easy for anyone at all. Without being able to say, I'd have to assume it's going to be gutwrenching, and the Saints will be "sheltering in place" in Christ until the end.
Build a deep sense of home in Christ now while things are relatively uneventful.

Even the Elect are meant to wrestle with their own sinful nature, still fallen in the flesh, still waking with a renewed need and dependence for God, every single day until the end of time.
If we are saved, as @nprofile…28ur, it will be despite ourselves, and *only* because God will not fail to finish a work that He has begun in His (predestined) people.
It is important to internalize that even the Saints remain weak and frail, only being washed of their sinful nature gradually in order for God to prepare them for Himself, by Himself, in order to spare them from Himself.

I do not believe that the Elect can be decieved in the most ultimate, salvation concerning ways, but I see no reason that Saints will not fly close to the sun, being fooled of many things on the way (as consequence of our flesh). My sense of Scripture is that God makes good use of dark backdrops in order to showcase His blinding Glory.

The Biblical concept of faith is inseparable from obedience.
And since we are inclined by nature to sin, love ourselves in our rebellion, and disobey God in immeasurable ways, it stands to reason that a saving faith *must* be granted by God in order to establish a God-pursuing, obedient inclination amongst the people that God is preparing for Himself.
Anybody can merely acknowledge that Christ is Lord. The devil acknowledges it. Saints are prepared, they are sanctified, through their obedience and persevering pursuance of God, something they cannot boast about of themselves, but must grant all glory to God alone.
"Carnal" Christianity is not Christianity.

My feeling is that both the Catholic and Orthodox traditions overindex on "apostolic succession" as a means to justify themselves as the one true church. Scripture and the ways of the church must be passed down responsibly, and even the more ancient traditions have drifted and invented ritual and ceremony not commanded by Christ or performed by the apostles.
Indeed, the Orthodox and Catholic churches are ancient, but from my research they merely represent the dominant traditions of both an Eastern and Western church of Christ. The world is distributed, not universal, yet even as traditions and churches "splinter", God's elect people are in perfect harmony in Christ.
There can be no disunity in the Godhead nor in the surety of salvation and fellowship amongst God's people in His Son. Christ's bride cannot in reality be divided and saying so would make Christ a liar. (Matthew 12:25, Ephesians 4:4–6, John 17:20–23)
