In tonight's episode of "Why is Miles getting frustrated"
Trying to get wireless controllers recognized and working on Linux/Steam
PS5 connects but Steam tells it to screw off and won't recognize it again
Tried buying an XBox controller won't even pair on the Bluetooth for some dumb reason
Yes plugging the cord in works fine but why must the wireless function be a total pain in the butt?

Anyways, now that Linux headaches have settled down now... I've been able to game for a bit and relax some more.
The only main issue I've been running into isd the old "Small text at 4k resolution" issue, but that's mostly something I have to fuss with in Steam and its related games.
I gotta say I guess I don't really miss Windows as much as I thought I would. Yeah I'll still have to rescue the main hard drive out of my old computer, but at this point it's relatively low priority. (I have pretty much all the important stuff backed up anyways).
I doubt there's a whole lot else I can do with the Windows build now that the graphics card for it is long gone. Might be time to consider recycling it (But I'm either keeping the hard drives or destroying them when I'm done)

Unfortunately you're talking to someone who is brrand new to Linux so exact locations, terminal commands, and steps are going to have to be spelled out one at a time.

Steam Linux Issues:
Trying to connect a PS5 controller to Steam Linux but is not being picked up
What I've determined:
- I'm using the most recent release of Mint, was necessary to solve graphics card/audio headaches
- Controller can be detected and connect via Bluetooth, it's not a driver or compatibility issue to my knowledge
- Connecting the controller via cable to the computer got it recognized
But not via bluetooth.
For this to work for my situation it either needs to be wireless or have a really long cable... I'm like 9 feet (2.5m) away from the screen and computer.
I tried most of the quick and dirty online tutorials, none of them seemed to work
If you know how to troubleshoot this it would be appreciated, thanks!
If anyone else out there can figure out why Bluetooth isn't being picked up by Steam Linux for some reason
