This is Massie's main contributor, of course he has influence, he put in something like $9 million to Massie's campaign. You don't put in that for nothing. Not all jews are zionists though and I don't know this guy's story.

2026-05-05 14:29:59 UTC

That seems to have been his stance for about 15 years. Trump is looking for a deal. If he could be the guy who brought Iran back into the international fold, he would be lauded (probably posthumously).
This is probably why there are leaks that he was forced into the war by Israel. Yes, it makes him look weaker but it also eases the edges for a deal.
He shouldn't have gone to war but given the current situation it would be good to end it in a positive way with minimum causalities.

That kind of rhetoric helps aid a collapse which is probably why Trump is using it, whether true or not. If he can slow international financial interactions with Iran that seems to be helpful to his aims and these kinds of things are based on feelings. I doubt it's enough to stop China.

Women risk their lives at work, driving, all sorts of places.

2026-04-29 11:26:11 UTC

This is the problem with research, it pairs down criteria. One problem for mothers is they are expected to both raise children and work a full time job. Modern society is anti-children by it's nature. Will a single woman face less stress if she's childless and single. Absolutely. Maybe the problem is society.
I'm sorry you feel that way about women and men. My experience is somewhat different and it seems happier but I don't doubt your experience has been bad, I've seen that.

2026-04-29 10:53:07 UTC

Can't it be both what makes women and men happy? There are a number of studies that indicate having children makes women happier. As with all these things cause and effect are often reversed so it could be that happy people have children.

The argument against evil has a longer history than Hitchens.
God gave us free will, is the general answer and you can't have free will without evil.
However God is seen as having free will and being incapable of evil.
If Abraham thought God incapable of evil, he would follow his edicts.
It's a very /this lifetime/ centered view of things to assume that God suggesting killing a son in sacrifice is evil. In the Christian view, you would assume that Isaac would go to Heaven.

People (DJs especially) also used to slightly increased the speed of vinyl because there was a tweak for that on most record players. Digital mostly killed that. Sweetening is a much more generic term though, it pretty much covers anything done at the mastering stage and beyond.

There's corruption somewhere, either in the original convictions or in the later reversal. There are way more eyes on a reversal, so the probability of that being the corrupt part is less.

President Trump is undermining China in Africa and South America. President Biden got Ukraine into a proxy war with Russia and took Syria away (started under Obama). President Obama took Libya out and started color revolutions in many places.
It's not really fair to describe these as presidential actions, especially in Biden's case. They're actions of difference parts the US state apparatus, largely the CIA and military. Likewise Russia and China have their actions.
