I’m not into writing scatological jokes, but I can’t deny the power they have over my kids. Last night, they begged me to let them watch “Train Wreck: the Poop Cruise,” on Netflix, and despite it being a documentary about human suffering, I’ve never heard them laugh harder than when the chef describes “poop lasagna.”

King Gizzard was outstanding last night! Always love seeing a rock band with an orchestra, but this was some next level stuff. I’ve found my two previous Gizz shows to have some sections I didn’t dig, but this was wall to wall great!

@nprofile…k0f6 I’m sure the team doctors cautioned him not to play. He said he couldn’t have lived with himself not giving it a go. But there’s something inherently terrifying about feeling like you may very well regret whatever choice you make.

Fuck. Turned on the Billy Strings’ show and he started by telling the crowd this show would be the toughest he ever played because his mom passed away last night.

I’ve had just an incredible time in San Francisco so far. The Masonic is a fantastic venue. Have eaten some amazing Korean fried chicken and Vietnamese chicken/kebab/imperial roll. Visited the Japanese tea garden and the De Young Museum. Saw Paul McCartney’s photographs from ‘63-‘64 - eye of the storm. Incredible, moving stuff. Views for days. Public transit. Another night of Goose incoming. Such a creatively fulfilling and inspiring trip!

My biggest takeaway from Geoff’s letter is that “the Organization” is real and Pete Shapiro is indeed the puppet master pulling all the strings. Why is Tom Hamilton in JRAD? The Organization! Why did Dopapod break up? The Organization! Why does Daniel Donato’s voice sound fine in-person but like shit on recordings? The Organization! Why does Mickey rap Fire On the Mountain? Because he’s a big weirdo!
