I think Mario Kart World doesn’t have the rapid instant gratification that other games in the series has had which does it a disservice.
Mario kart was something you could dip into quickly, play a few tracks and dip out. It’s almost more of a time commitment to make “world” “fun” in a way that 8 was. You gotta play it a lot differently which, yeah is a swing and a miss.
I haven’t tried crosswords yet. I’m still salty that generations switch 2 never got a switch 1 upgrade path - just a full price re-release. :blobcatreeeeeee:

Stuff like Tom and Jerry that would be animated for CinemaScope and Pan and scanned but also it could add additional scene elements without rendering a new cut.
Also Disney used it a lot for converting movies in the like Beauty and the Beast.
But specifically made for 1080p and pan and scanned? I dunno. Probably some - to compensate for the transition from 480p like when you see older 4:3 tv shows with back bars on the left and right but also to release “widescreen” versions for home video.

Things are so topsy turvy that people are saying “Boycott US Products.” And meanwhile people here in the US are scrambling to BUY US made products because of tariffs, only to find that NOTHING IS MADE HERE ANYMORE. With the exception of consumables data services and videogames. People not in the US aren’t giving up Steam, Twitch, Epic, Roblox, WoW, Overwatch, Coca Cola, KFC (in Asia) 7-11!(in Japan? Never!), Netflix. I promise you it’s not organized enough.
So people resort to trying to boycott American companies where all of their manufacturing and services are in china. So boycott Asian manufacturing and data centers?
I understand this is the first instinct for people but there some serious critical thinking missing from these ideological rumblings.

The cookie dough is chilling. I went with brown butter bittersweet chocolate chip cookies with butterscotch chips, crushed butter toffee cashews and flaky sea salt. I know some of you sickos really like to annotate documents and, this new class I’m taking is asking people to annotate as a group. So many of the annotations are “this is what this part says!” Which, I think is not how that’s supposed to work. 🤔

Before Apple news introduced its new “Food” section with recipes, I was following the topic “recipes.” And saving the ones I like.
Now, apple has completely removed the topic “Recipes” and, since their “Food” section is not available on Mac for some stupid reason, I’ve lost not only the “Recipes” topic feed but basically the ability to look for recipes in the Mac news app.

Interesting to find out that the laws for crossing the Canadian border are so strict that if you’ve ever had a DUI it’s almost impossible to cross the border unless you apply for temporary residency and go through an investigation. Pretty strict entry requirements.

I am making the new ATK recipe for Cod with an olive relish but I’m using haddock filets because tiggy ain’t an heiress and Cod Filets were at least $5 more per 2 pounds today (that’s £4 more per about 1 kilograms than usual for you UK peeps). So hopefully this will be just as good. Being born and bread in New England though, Haddock is like comfort food for me.

My husband’s childhood home burned down two nights ago because someone (a relative) living there put in a wood stove with no experience and it caught the attic on fire. To top it off, because he did this, the insurance company canceled the policy just this year. This was my husband’s family home that his mom and dad worked to build and both passed away there. Then, some tweaker relative moved in and squatted and turned it into a revolving door trap house and viola, the place is up in smoke.
His sister owns the property but because there no insurance, she can’t even afford to bulldoze the burnt frame.
I want to help but I’m at a loss. I’m reading it could take upwards of 20k to remove debris.
My husband is a wreck. Everything is just gone. All the memories and photos and possessions of his late mother.
I feel so powerless to do anything to help.

Obvious benefits of a new candidate aside, neither party has provided any clear plan to get grocery prices down. Like, at all. I know the current administration is investigating corporate price gouging but that seems like a very minimal step to take that spends more money than it saves taxpayers.
In my opinion- giving people more money via tax breaks to pay for raising prices isn’t the answer. Getting prices down is.

I’d love to have it be hybrid VR. Labo VR was actually neat but limited to two 480px stereo images. If they could perfect a drop-in headset with a 4k display switch tablet, it would be really cool.
