Right there with you. I saw something the other day that the depreciation on new phones is just as bad as buying a new car, if not worse. The phone loses up to 50% of its value as soon as the next year’s model comes out. New phone is a bad investment. Let someone else take the initial hit and buy used like new or wait till the phone is being given away discounted or free.
I think I will always be Team Apple. But I will always be one to two years behind in their product line.

Damus and Primal are apps on the Apple App Store that allow me to access Nostr from my iPhone. Primal also doubles as a client for my laptop so I can access Nostr there as well. As an Android user, the client you probably use is #Amethyst (I’m assuming).
I’m not sure if you know, but the Nostr protocol is consistent no matter what app or client you use. Some clients have different features and looks compared to others. It’s based on your preference really.

Day 2 with the protocol was a good one. I found myself picking up my iPhone constantly throughout the day to use apps #Damus and #Primal.
I've never considered myself a social media guy. I've been on #Facebook, #Instagram, #TikTok, and #X over the last decade. I'm not reaching when I say...
#Nostr is by far my favorite. It's allowed me to begin to make connections and have conversations. It just feels alive compared to other legacy social media. For that, I am #grateful and #hopeful.

Good question. I had issues with this too when I first joined #Nostr the other day. I’m waiting on an invite from #Alby. I got started with #Damus and used the built in lightning wallet in #Primal when I accessed Nostr from there. What I did in Primal carried over to Damus. For me, that was the easiest way to get up and running with lightning.

What do you mean publish? Damus was the app that helped me get on Nostr. I set up the lighting wallet on Primal. The Nostr protocol is the same regardless of how you access it (Damus or Primal). What I did on Primal carries over to Damus and vice versa.

I’m not Derek Ross but I’m a Nostr newbie. I hope you don’t mind me jumping in. I used Primal to get up and running with Lightning. Incredibly easy. I was having issues with NWC prior and was in the same position as your recruit with Alby. Looking forward to what @npub18am…p424 says on this 🙏🏻
