LLMs are, like, peak "society that has failed to teach the creative process" and "value is based on output statistics". I literally can't think of any utility for them that isn't just gaming broken metrics to keep a line going up.
(I also reworded my latter "use" cause I don't want someone that sits down in a creative fever and makes 100 drawings to feel wrongly target. If that is you, 1) you are powerful 2) don't forget to stretch your wrist)

Okay, just gonna try to toss this out into the fediverse void: Does anybody remember a youtube video show casing a text editor that was design for a experimental programming language that had no textual representation. Instead, the editor handled formatting the language. The demo of this editor show them changing the language from a ML syntax to a C-like syntax.
I vaguely remember the editor being pitched along side "evolving programming beyond syntax" and "syntax is as an editor feature".

This was mostly an intrusive thought I had. Cryptocurrencies use a network wide difficulty since everyone on the network is racing for the same reward. This could at least be per-client connection and ramp up as whatever spam heuristics ramps up.
It's still wasted CPU time, but it would be more target and only waste the most comptime for the worst offenders.

Realizing I haven't actually directly linked or talked about flickgame. So here goes: It's a small html-based game making tool. You have 16 scenes with 16 colors. Each color can be turned into a hyperlink to another scene. 16 scenes is just enough space to tell microfiction and tiny branching games. I think more people should know about it.

Continuing to think about art-first game making and interactive level editing. There are a few web tools (flisky, flickgame, etc) and abandonware (Kooltool) that do what I'm interested in. I remember spending tons of time in Halo: Reach and Trials HD's map editors. I'd spend hours hanging out with a friend in Reach just switching in and out of edit mode to test and adjust my level.
I have a fun idea for a tile-based point-and-click game maker. Gonna see if I can turn that into a real thing.

I fear one day Itch.io, the last heaven for this kind of art, shall fall. I see it as inevitable in the current political climate. Half the reason I'm starting to return to LOVE and learning to directly publish web things. I can't rely on a Godot forever. 60-100MB adds up fast. People already have web browsers and LOVE is cross platform and 1/20th the baseline size.
I hope to have my own little tools I can target to whatever space I slip in and out of.

There used to be a lot of weird, queer, erotic interactive art on the internet. A wonderful diversity of games, stories, toys, and fiddly scraps. But, people couldn't stay a float, flash died, GameJolt back stabbed a ton of artists. And so it quietly went away.
Flash ending was corporate tech killing a vibrate art form. No authoring tools have replaced it. Most people deride it without considering the things it enabled.

Status: I drew a flickgame but accidentally used my local copy and not the hosted copy. So, now I'm sloppily copying my data from the local version to the hosted version.
Thankfully, Flickgame bleeds all it's application variables into the global space so I can do some disgusting hacks via JSON serializing and the web console.
