Absolutely. All that remains is a comparable alternative, as FB did to MySpace. We have several Twitter alternatives in the Fediverse. PixelFed is surging as an alt to Instagram. Peertube is coming, right?
But, in discussing leaving FB, the loss of the connections, family and friends, is all that’s keeping them on. We need a way to migrate and keep those “loose ties” from the walled gardens, like in the early days when FOAF networks were first invented.
