Welp, I gave in and decided to order a Switch 2 and a 256GB card. The one from Samsung branded specifically for the Switch 2 was cheaper than the others on offer. The game I want is on a game key card, so I will just get it digitally, as I don't care about reselling/trading. I hope migration goes okay!

Ah, I mainly do digital downloads for games, so I think I need a mSD. I could probably reuse the one I have for my OLED, but if I can find a new one that isn't totally stupid expensive, I'd spring for one. We'll see.

🤦‍♀️ I misunderstood the deal I saw at Target related to the Nintendo Switch 2: I thought it was 30% off a Switch 2, where they'd include the Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 game. However, when I looked back at their site, it was 30% off that game bundle *if* you buy a Switch 2. :sad trombone:

It seems like I’ve seen this but for some reason I didn’t enable it… Maybe because I thought it might mess up certain games where they say what button is what and it conflicts with the Switch settings. Or something dumb like that. 🤦‍♀️😅 I’ll just enable it and adjust.

😕 I really don’t like the slight button differences between the Steam Deck and the Switch. I’ve been playing more stuff on my Steam Deck recently, so when I play something on the Switch my muscle memory for accepting or rejecting an option is backwards and I end up making selections I didn’t want. 🤦‍♀️

👍 OMG, I installed an extension called "Force Light Mode" to use on webpages with black backgrounds and white text. It hurts my already bad eyes to read more than a few lines of text on pages that are in "dark mode". My eyes thank this extension.

I don't know if Troublemaker inks are hard to get for you, but Milky Ocean, Petrichor, or Foxglove might be nice ones to try. Not quite as spectacular chromoshading as Van Dieman's Natura line, but nice all the same.

Ah, I see. Yeah, I had Hulu way before D+, but for whatever reason I signed up for the bundle from D+ and canceled my standalone Hulu sub. I'm guessing you had the bundle before Hulu's login was connected to the MyDisney login? Perhaps that's why your bundle is not handled well? 🤔

😒 Apparently signing up for a Disney+/Hulu bundle with Disney doesn't automatically activate the Hulu side. I had to look up support info that said Hulu had to be activated manually from the Disney account, and then the login would work on the Hulu app (required to watch exclusive shows, I guess). 🤦‍♀️

I think just the PoGO account. I still had control of my Google account and hadn’t noticed any suspicious activity on the Google account itself. I changed passwords on all my Google accounts and enabled MFA on them all after all this happened. 😠

PHEW, after a lot of back and forth with customer service, I got my account restored. Somehow whoever compromised my account had changed the associated e-mail account, which is why I couldn’t log in using Google log in. 😱 Luckily the person didn’t compromise more sensitive accounts linked to my Google account. (I don’t even understand how they did it; I had 2FA on my Google account)

😒 Not that I’ve been playing too much anymore, but I’ve had trouble logging in to Pokémon GO, coinciding with the recent Google cert problem and my recent changing of my Gmail password. Not sure if I’ll be able to login, as the system claims I have no account associated with my Gmail. Contacted customer support. We’ll see. Annoyed because I have lots of shinies I would’ve liked to transfer out.

Yeah, I have a big ol’ blocky vial holder similar to that and didn’t like lack of visibility for anything besides the outer edges. I guess something with “stadium levels” could help with visibility for inner tiers, but the form-factor introduces annoyances of its own. I gave up thinking about a solution and went the Ziploc route as you saw. 🙂 Although now that I think about it, staggered levels on a vial holder block might be good to revisit.

Ugh, YouTube TV... First of all, what an annoying name (it confuses my parents!). And what a terrible experience for them in general. They're not savvy when it comes to internet services, so dealing with all the issues that YTTV has is frustrating. And I'm their tech support for it. 🙄 I kind of want to move them off it, but the alternatives aren't great anywhere.

My husband and I were reminiscing about how the broadcast channels started messing with the end times of their shows to ruin TiVo recordings (which would cause people to blame TiVo when it wasn't their fault), and he said that was when he decided we weren't going to pay for cable anymore. At the time we were in a location where we could use an OTA antenna to get HD broadcast channels so we switched to a capture card in a media PC for our TV. It was a throwback to remember all that!

I started a few years ago with a Google Doc and posting my daily highlights, lowlights, and meh-lights, mainly so I could remember what happened and refer back later. Eventually I turned the practice into analog journaling in a notebook when I started collecting fountain pens and inks. I really wanted memory keeping and a tangible memento of life events and random thoughts, as opposed to digital-only assets.
