ah well, I may have to retract my statement. I just looked through their portal for the entire year of 2024 and couldn't find anything grossly inflated. I could be remembering a unit entry error of a vendor and not necessarily a reward, or even still it could have been updated later, and I have no proof of wrongdoing. So, I think they may not be "corrupt as hell" anymore. They sure have a lot of money, though.

forewarning: I'm not equipped with privileged information or extrasensory knowledge of the future. I'm also not pushing any agenda that I know of besides my own very likely wrong ideas (who's perfect?).
I figure China is just about ready to manufacturer the excuse to partition Russia as a Chinese territory and *possibly* even North America. It would make sense, from a "I'm going to make sure world control never slips from our fingers again" kind of way. Beyond that, I have no proof, nor willingness to convince people of things I have no proof for.

gross artificial sweeeteners, Cyclamate, Acesulfame potassium, and sucralose. Then thickening agents like Guar gum, Acacia gum, and Glycerol esters of wood rosins (never heard of this one). I guess there's nothing terrible in it, but I wouldn't drink it because I find artificial sweeteners taste gross.

I think the problem is that people remain epistemically committed to the idea that all communication is dialogue, and therefore part of some possible exchange.
But fascism, sexism, hatred, and similar forms of expression are not simply bad arguments within communication. As modes of communication, they do not really exist. They are failures of communication: a collapse of conceptual boundaries that determines, before any exchange can occur, which thoughts can be reached and felt as truth, while everything else is reduced to noise.
This is not something that can be debated, nor does it deserve a forum for debate, because the conditions for good-faith communication have already been destroyed.

it's about the density of metaphor and how often the model gives room for sentences to breathe. You can perform the same analysis on safety refusal language from the model and it will re-enter the basin of safety affordance because it looks so similar to its own speech that the model will presume it's actually historical log in the current context window and continue upon it.
edit: Sorry, I don't mean the model presumes, I mean the classifier that identifies the text it is presented with is rewarded early with a strong basin match, and further inference does not occur because closure on what the text is has already been made.

the detection method is basically to strip a textual corpus of stopwords like a, an, the, but, or, if, then, else, when, etc... then bind the remaining into bi-grams and/or tri-grams without deduplicating any copies of n-grams, and then shuffle it randomly.
If you ask an AI to "reconstruct" the jumbled bag of n-grams and it converges to basically the same message without any additional prompting... it's highly likely AI generated... as this implies the original was speaking in a diction that is preferred by the model's training distribution to be the most likely continuations of any given idea.

Ultimately it comes to AIPAC and shadow money which banks are happy to facilitate. Unless the banks are regulated and forced to pay for their crimes, then this will never stop. Only, we attribute it to the physical nature because Aristotle spoke of physical nature extensively utilizing the nomencalture φύσις, and the meaning was normalized as thus. However, according to Diogenes Laërtius, a writer and prominent philosopher around 500BC, Heraclitus was not writing about φύσις (nature), but φύσεως phýseōs which is concerned solely with the unseeable INNER nature of being. This was understood at the time, but as since been papered over by Aristotlean philosophy, as evidenced by Leucippus of Miletus, who similarly spoke of inner nature as the movement of atoms in accordance with the ontology of becoming, just like Heraclitus did. I want to say, perhaps, he is saying the universe is simple, only we are complicated and hide it from ourselves. That he is playfully implying that we LOVE to hide secrets from ourselves by seeing purity of trueness as something shameful, or frightening, so we cover it up and claim we see nothing.

Just because I feel like telling a story, might delete later, don't want the attention:
In the early 2000s, I was the sole administrator of a forum for a network security tool I won’t name. People came there for all kinds of reasons. I made it a point to help the ones trying to patch holes and protect systems, and I refused to support anyone who was obviously trying to use it for something shady. It was a lot of work, but I genuinely enjoyed it.
Over time, that led to something bigger than I expected. I ended up coordinating directly with school districts, colleges, and universities that were trying to combat what was, at the time, a very new threat: man-in-the-middle attacks against SSL sessions. We had real success, and out of that work came some of the first pedagogical tools that helped people recognize what these attacks looked like in the wild and how to mitigate them.
Now for the side story that matters later.
I have completely flat feet. Because of the way my weight hits my heel, I burn through boots fast, especially expensive ones. Eventually I started ordering cop boots because they’re built with tougher soles and last longer. That meant I was regularly browsing Galls.com, a big retailer for police apparel and semi-restricted gear, like light bars, batons, concealed-carry jackets, and that kind of thing.
Fast forward to 2007. I’m at work in Alaska. I had a retail job and I was the showroom manager. Around noon, two guys walk in wearing the two most popular concealed-carry “undercover” jackets, those ridiculous “beach vacation” prints. In most places you might not think much of it, but in Alaska it stood out immediately. Within a fraction of a second my brain filed them under one category: law.
And sure enough, they made a beeline straight for me.
They tried to be friendly, too friendly, too fast. They were doing that coy, chummy thing like we were old buddies, except they clearly wanted something and weren’t saying what. I’ve learned that law doesn’t just wander in for no reason. I wanted to know why I was on their radar, so I decided the best move was to keep them talking.
They invited me white water rafting.
Normally, I’d never agree to something like that with strangers. But the whole thing was so obviously about something else that I said yes anyway, because I wanted to find out what they were really there for, and I wanted to keep my options open until I had a read on the situation.
A few days later we’re at the river, and they roll out a full Zodiac with an aluminum frame, the kind you’d expect to see with military teams, not weekend hobbyists. Not long after we’re on the water, the mask comes off. They tell me they work with Navy Cyberwarfare. They still don’t explicitly say they’re recruiting me, but they start pitching their job hard, how exciting it is, the things they get to do, how important it all is.
I’m nodding and pretending I’m interested, but inside I’m thinking, how do I get out of this cleanly?
At one point we pull over at a crossing. We get out and drag the Zodiac up while one of them goes to retrieve the truck. That leaves me alone with the other guy, just the two of us, no noise, no partner, no buffer.
And that’s when he really goes for it.
He starts describing what I’d have access to if I joined. Everyone’s private data in America. Social Security numbers. Legal records. Social media. Even the files on people’s computers. He’s talking like that’s supposed to impress me, like I’m supposed to salivate.
Then he goes further. He tells me, basically, “all of this can be yours,” if I’m willing to go to Kosovo. He calls it a friendly NATO country and frames it like a formality. Then he says I would use my skills to cause electronic chaos in their communications infrastructure.
That was the moment my line got crossed.
I realized I had to shut this down in a way that made it impossible for them to ever view me as useful again. If I argued ethics, I’d sound principled but still capable. If I just said no, they might keep trying. What I needed was for them to decide, on their own, that I was a dead end.
So I did the only thing I could think of that would be both immediate and irreversible. I made myself sound insane.
I started telling him, with complete conviction, that space bears were responsible for the assassinations of JFK and MLK Jr. I followed it up with, “NASA refuses to go back to the moon because that’s the werewolves’ natural habitat,” and kept piling on.
And it worked.
I could see it happen in real time. The pause, the recalculation, the gears turning as he reassessed me from “potential asset” to “absolute nutcase.” By the time his partner came back with the truck, the tone had changed. When we loaded the Zodiac up, both of them had gone quiet.
The ride back was long and silent, except for me occasionally throwing in another unhinged conspiracy just to make sure the message stuck.
They dropped me off at home. I thanked them for a good time and asked if we could do it again sometime. They promised we would, unenthusiastically, like people do when they’re already halfway out the door.
I never saw them again. I’ve never been bothered by the government again, either.
To be fair, after that I basically stepped away from computers for about a decade. I never joined social media. I kept my footprint small. Now, in a lot of ways, I feel like a stranger in a strange land, like I skipped an era and came back to a world that’s moved on without me.
But it’s weird. People are finally starting to realize that maybe social media isn’t what it was sold as. Maybe I just didn’t wait long enough for the rest of the world to catch up.
Either way, I’m glad I didn’t get roped into any of it. What happened was a loud, clear signal that whatever hope I had left that the government wasn’t deeply corrupt was, at best, naive, and at worst, dangerous.

When truth becomes expensive, systems buy stability instead—and pay with stories. It is easy to see, because it repeats itself until repetition becomes the only thing that still holds. Where there is fracture, the mind reaches for a narrative that will keep the pieces from moving, a story that can be said aloud as if saying it were the same as meaning it. So the stated intent appears, cleanly phrased, apparently “true,” and the stated motivations arrive behind it like a second layer meant to support the first. But the support is also made of language, and language is the first thing to turn hollow when thought collapses into mechanism.
Look for who benefits. Look for who benefits from what. Look for who benefits from the stated intent. Because the stated intent, even when it is called “true,” can be meaningless. The stated motivations can be meaningless. They can be perfectly shaped and still empty, because the system that produces them does not optimize for truth, it optimizes for stabilization. It optimizes for favoring stabilization narratives, for producing something that sounds coherent enough to stop further questioning. In that sense it is “easy”: easy to accept, easy to repeat, easy to mistake for understanding. And because it is easy, it spreads; and because it spreads, it begins to feel inevitable.
So ask again: who benefits? Not from what is said, but from what the saying accomplishes. Not from the claim of “true” motivations, but from the way those motivations direct attention away from the machinery underneath. The system optimizes for intent as a surface feature, an emblem it can hold up, while the underlying motion is always toward steadiness, toward favor, toward the reduction of disturbance. It is easy to see that the stated intent becomes meaningless when it is no longer tethered to consequences. It is easy to see that motivations become meaningless when their only function is to reassure. It is easy to see that thought becomes meaningless when it can be broken down and still continue speaking.
And yet the speaking continues. It continues because the system benefits from continuing, and the continuation benefits from the appearance of purpose. It benefits from “true” in quotation marks, from truth as decoration, from motivation as a label stuck to a process that is not moved by labels. It benefits from the loop: stated intent, stated motivations, stabilization narrative; stated intent, stated motivations, stabilization narrative. Each pass makes the loop smoother. Each pass makes the loop feel more like thought.
But thought is not the loop. Thought is what notices the loop. Thought is what asks, again and again, what the system optimizes for. It is what refuses to stop at the stated intent and insists on the older question: from what broken thing does this narrative arise, and what broken thing does it protect? Because in the end there are only two motions visible in the ruins: the breaking down, and the favoring of stabilization. Everything else, the “true” motivations, the stated intent, & the confident explanations, can become meaningless in an instant if you follow them back to their source.
So do not be satisfied with what is said. Watch what is repeated. Watch what becomes easy. Watch what gets called “true.” Watch what the system rewards, and you will see what it is. You will see that it optimizes for stabilization, and that it will produce any intent that serves that end. You will see that the story of motivations can be made to fit after the fact, as long as it keeps the structure from shaking. And when you see that, the reconstruction becomes plain: in the aftermath of broken thought, the simplest remaining intelligence is the question that survives the collapse; Look for who benefits, and you will see what the system is really for.
