@nprofile…rs28 Möglicherweise machts aber schon Sinn (auch weil NPM bei einem einzelnen falsch konfigurierten Eintrag direkt komplett abschmiert). Könnte Pangolin ähnlich wie Headscale/Tailscale auch eine Punkt-zu-Punkt Verbindung zwischen Infrastruktur aufbauen? Mein Offside Backup ist aktuell noch… sehr manuell, kam nie dazu das korrekt aufzusetzen.
NPM unterstützt auch nur HTTP Basic Auth, eine schönere Methode um bspw. unseren Owncast zu sichern wäre nett.

@nprofile…rs28 Versuche gerade nachzuvollziehen ob Pangolin mein Setup verbessern könnte. 🤔 Aktuell sind unsere Familiendienste weitestgehend eigenständig, mit NPM (Nginx Proxy Manager) als Reverse Proxy dazwischen welcher sich um SSL Zertifikate usw. kümmert und quasi die Verbindung ins interne (virtuelle) Docker Netzwerk regelt. Kann Pangolin solche Sachen auch oder verstehe ich dessen Einsatzzweck gerade falsch?

Meaning that, after you add your Emails, Nextcloud etc. in the Online accounts, you got the whole suite of tools actually working with them (Contacts, Calendar, File Explorer with Cloud Storage access, etc.). KDE's attempt at it is rather pitiful.
Meaning you might as well skip Gnome and use e.g. Cinnamon, who use the Gnome Online Accounts backend in their DE with objectively better UX. :thisisfine:

@nprofile…f4e5 Perhaps other materials are more prone to damage by the acid themselves. 🤔 PET is used with drinking bottles filled with citric acid though, so PETG should most likely also be fine. PLA might be an issue, I think it it couldn't really withstand most acids.

Commercial platforms are such phenomenal trash by now. The amounts of times I get blocked by Youtube per day is in the double digits, and now Discord tries to detect and block VPNs as well it seems. Creators all stay on them though because there's no alternative (for Youtube) or all of them really suck (for Discord).

Any other recommendations to get your nozzle to be less sticky, especially with PETG? Perhaps some specific material, or some other kind of coating? Looking for a V6 Volcano-compatible solution, preferably made out of a harder material so abrasive materials still work.

It's hard for me to imagine how there can even be enough money made through a single "normal-priced" app (<10€) to allow even a single developer to live from it. In general those big numbers companies keep throwing around feel utterly illogical for me; I am accustomed to live off of a few hundred euros per month though (as well as presents by family 🙃).
Like, where does all the money even come from? I'm probably too damaged by poverty to even imagine anything but everyone being in crushing debt.

The only manufacturer who goes all the way in not just advertising something as "Material xyz" is extrudr. Only a few say if it's a "blend", like Prusa. I think the specific vendor in my case also just said it was "PC", so when my parts fell apart that's what I (apparently falsely) learned from it.

So if I have one branch in #git that looks like this:

and I want it to look like this:
current master -> branch2
so it can be merged into the remote more cleanly (since some stuff from branch1 got reverted), what's the best approach to go for it? To my current understanding best way to do it would be to create a new branch and then rebase branch2. 🤔
Alternatively I could of course always cherry-pick… but ugh.

This might sound weird, but is there a way to define your own magic syskey (or similar)?
I wonder if I can define an always working hotkey on the laptop of my dad that, when pressed, enables openssh and establishes a reverse SSH tunnel to my homelab (and perhaps sends me some notification or sth). So in case he *ever* ends up in a shell or "black screen" (with the system running in the background) he can get my help remotely as long as there's some network around.

Effective use is basically anything under the sun from #Blender and general game development to video transcoding (AV1 ❤️), computing (openCL) and machine learning (ROCm) both execution and later perhaps training of very small models (though the latter will obviously mostly be done externally).

Apparently some kind of federated system allowing for sharing of reasoning, proofs and all that stuff. Could make it better if done properly, could also make it infinitely worse.

You seem to talk about wildly different people. Like, tankies, neolibs, big servers... what is it? 🤨

I'm curious about who you'd include in the definition of "them". I know about the controversy around .art, also of course around Eugen (I even wrote a massive critic on my blog when he made massoc the default instance in the Mastodon app, lol). Given I often see a lot of embracement for other Fedi software (mostly due to my instance being closely connected to the german CCC) I get the feeling of missing some key arguments right now.

What @npub10ze…mjrr is angry about isn't the blocklist of mastodon.social or any other instance of the Mastodon gGmbH but a list made by a single person as far as I know, @npub1pfr…c5m6. And yes, I also think a huge amount of the list "Bad Space" is either nonsense or based on information that simply isn't available.
tl;dr
Your hatred makes you blind. If you want to criticize Mastodon - and there are a fuckton of reasons for it - you got to put due diligence into your arguments.

Das wird die Bürger ganz bestimmt zurück ins Boot holen. Oder so. 🤡
