@nprofile…musy Like @nprofile…mjt5, U+0332 should be adjusted to the width of the letter. By definition it should connect when in a sequence. Whether it fully extends on the non connected side is arguable both ways. But then how is it visually different from the macron below when it doesn’t fully extend, in particular when under a single letter and/or when the macron is also adjusted for width.

@nprofile…mjt5 @nprofile…musy In theory U+0332 should fully extend on the letter widths, it seems like misuse but if that works for users 🤷🏾‍♂️. What about U+035F Combining double macron below, it seems appropriate for digraphs. I guess FE2B, FE2C, FE2D Combining left/right/joining macron below for longer sequences is out of scope.

@npub1xqv…230r @npub19lw…72hg In theory, prime is used in Skolt Sami ortography, in some phonetic transcriptions, or also in some transliterations like for ь (like ISO 9 or ALA-LC). On top of it, these can or should be U+02B9 instead of U+2032. In practice users will use what they can: ´, ', ’, ʼ, ʹ, ′, etc. Same issue for double prime.
