Day 10: In my pottery class I learned that I love underglazing. It's a process that's more similar to painting than glazing.
This pot was a practice pot, using a bisqued but unglazed donation/cast-off from someone else in the studio. I was inspired by the sky during sunset.
(And now this pot is a home to one of my pitcher plants.)

my great grandmother outlived 3 husbands and started dating her last boyfriend when she was in her mid-80s.
For years, she lied to him about her age because she didn't want him to know she was a little older than him. 😂
... She outlived him too and passed away at 102.
So yeah, I could imagine having a romantic relationship in my 70s – I might have 30 more years of life left!

I *hated* memorizing the addition and multiplication tables. Every summer I forgot them. 😭
But later in life, I realized there were ways to reason through the harder combinations. Now that I have a kid of my own, we talk about how to figure out math problems. Sometimes it's like a game, using the easier combos and finding a path to the harder question.
Like, what's 8*9? Well, 8*10 is 80, subtract 8 once, and you get 72.

Also, for the last position I hired: two people who reached out to me on LinkedIn (in response to a post I made about the job) made it to the final interview round. They had sent relevant messages that resonated with me. So I made sure to look for their applications.
It can be a good approach if you're thoughtful about it and see something in the job posting that inspires you.
