I can't answer your poll because it doesn't have enough options. We know our neighbours, call most of the block by first name. We talk with them, help them blow the snow from their driveways, joke about raking the fall leaves. Some we have coffee with, some we nod to in passing, some we do small talk, others we stop and chat for a while. We put books in the nearby little library to share with them, and tell them when their dog has gotten loose.
Ours is a small town.

In that definition, we are agreed. I've been outraged at the establishment since I first read Silent Spring, in the '70s. I, too, was a tech writer for soft/hardware manuals and documentation, and wrote a geeky book Mapping the Atari in the early '80s. Also a reporter and editor.
My current blog has almost 3 million words, plus another 80,000 on Machiavelli on the second blog. Been blogging since '04 but older one is long since gone.

Thanks, I don't think of myself as angry, but simply fed up with the idiocracy, and I am often loud about not taking it any more. As a writer and editor, I was always into parrhesia, and have used my social media accounts and blog to continue to rage from my tiny corner of the abyss. When not raging, I lead a quiet, often sedentary life of books, cooking, cats, PC gaming, more books, helping my wife with her garden, and playing the ukulele. Radical in thought if not in deed.
