I don't know if most people realize that being Ace doesn't necessarily mean you are devoid of emotional and sexual attraction or all sense of romance. I mean, it IS inclusive of those people who that describes, but it's not a [tongue firmly in cheek] 'binary' thing. As with most things, it's a spectrum.
I can still look at a person and go "Wow, they are very attractive" or "Those are some nice boobs, yo". But the difference is I have no desire/urge to act on that. If that person said, "I saw you checking me out, would you like to go out?" I'd almost certainly have to find a nice way to say "No thanks." This became more and more my norm as I get older.
As for the notion of romance, that also varies. I have been in committed relationships. I have loved and longed for the idea of romantic longevity as a concept. That said, most of my relationships lasted no more than 4 or 5 years at best except my last relationship which lasted twice that long. (much much less with any guys I dated back in the day - I think J was possibly the longest at ~ 2 years - after that I was only in lesbian relationships)
Over time I've learned that my weak-by-comparison romantic quotient is nothing like the average person's. If a Hallmark-channel-christmas-romance-novel-loving person is a 10 and a 'normal' person is a 7 or 8, I'm like a 3. So eventually... we "grow apart" as the saying goes. Or I don't grow together may be a better way to put it. I still love S, but us staying together was, in hindsight, never going to work.
Anyway, TMI I know. But it's been on my mind.

Imagine that you propped up a chunk of your tech economy over the last 10 years on an industry that has numerous duplicate companies all competing for dwindling resources and which has yet to be profitable and shows no signs of becoming profitable any time soon. Also it's best products are around 80% or less reliable.

Every fired federal worker becomes a burden on the economy.
Every fired worker adds to unemployment. The unemployed do not provide taxes and revenue. The unemployed do not buy domestic 'luxury goods'.
The more fired, the more drawing unemployment benefits, a pool paid for by companies (and largely passed down to the employee in the form of lessened overall wages)..
The more unemployed, the smaller the overall available job market, the longer they stay unemployed.
Most fired workers create more work for those still employed (or for whatever agency must take up the gutted agency's work) increasing wait times, lowering output, and delays.
The more fired, the more agencies gutted, the more _ already existing tax dollars for the Trump administration to give to the wealthy_ while the working and the unemployed shoulder the burden of the firings.
Add a crumbling economy on top and...
