You can insist the classical model all you want but the neurochemistry doesn't bear this out. Your desires come before your ideas, your worldview doesn't even exist in the right half of your brain, which is what's responsible for carrying out actions, and we know from strokes and lobotomies that the right brain isn't relying on the left for this.
Worldviews, theories, ideas, only occur along language, which is a part of your brain that is extremely bad at handling anything in the real world. It can only understand rigid predefined categories, and not how they interplay with each other.
A worldview only matters for things like engineering, cooperation in large groups, etc. but it has very little to do with what you want, or getting it in any direct way.
Fun thing to know, in lobotomy patients, if you show them an image through their right eye (linked to the left brain, worldviews) then have them draw that image, then ask them why they drew it, they will make up a fictional story about why they drew it without even attempting to access a memory, which they do have.
Your worldview isnt even connected to reality in that way. Most of it is a lie you make up ad hoc without even realizing its not true

We won against Zelensky but it's a loss for the American Empire, of which Europe is a part. That's why we're on a course correction rn.
We were UNABLE to defend our own territory against a corpse of a nation, and no one got anything of value except China, who built both of our militaries, and therein is the real problem.
Why is China making weapons for everyone else's wars? This is the most important reason we're ending it, and this is why courting Russia is the important thing rn. If nothing changes, China is going to own the world within 40 years, easily.
This is an even bigger issue than the demographic crisis (which also needs to be fixed but again, it's largely funded by China.)

Ofc you don't have to do it the Matrix way, but ideally, easily exposing your encrypted messages to a half dozen different devices shouldn't even be easily possible, and it only takes one idiot to expose the whole thing.
Not to mention, a separate issue, if you're hosting a server, it's VERY easy to impersonate a user. That's an inconvenience in public, but if you're operating with the expectation of privacy, it can be life ruining, depending on the context.
You want only professionals operating e2ee service.

I'm very skeptical of your framing on some of this. I'm pretty sure their funding is common knowledge, and even if they don't publicly reference all of their funding, that's not abnormal really. The CIA has good reasons to promote genuinely secure encryption, China and Russia hack our shit constantly, and better to have it hidden from everyone then let out enemies posses it.
Signal is tied to a phone number and everything about the UX practicallly screams "this is not meant to be a desktop app." I feel the worst you could say is that they should be more clear that data sent to your computer from your phone isn't private, but at the end of the day, encryption is only as the device you're using anyway. It doesn't change that much.
The server source code isn't super important for something like Signal as long as you can confirm the clients are doing what they're supposed to. Ik FOSS nerds want to have it as a standard but the reality of the situation is, it's a completely arbitrary place to draw the line. For all you know, the SimpleX servers are also running modified server software that stores everything and collects your keys every time they rotate, etc. You can't tell unless you personally inspect their instance.
You can host your own, but then no one will use it, so you might as well use pen and paper.
You don't really want an encrypted messenger to federate because each chat is only as secure as the dumbest end user, so you want to key management to be as automated and retard friendly as possible. Your only good options are a centralized service or a block chain, and so far the blockchains seem to slow.
This is a much fuzzier issue than FOSS purists are typically willing to consider before you even touch security arguments.

What would that backdoor look like on the Signal protocol? It's not like there's a single keypair they can just read your messages with even if they store them (they don't)
They'd have to force your device to send all the keys, or hack your device directly. It's not likely. The criticism doesn't seem to take into account how Signal works, specifically.
The alternatives aren't tangibly better either. There are self hosted versions of Signal but they're subject to the same problems as the main one. Matrix is the closest thing to a good alternative and its key management is a nightmare.

You don't understand how this works. They can just get that information correctly and refile, and you're assuming the bad search was their only basis in the first place, which isn't true.
You want him to get out, so you think he will. That's not how it works. Bad searches happen literally all the time and only in rare cased result in charges being permanently dropped.

NES is probably better to discard and emulate. I'm pretty sure that's easy though I've never tried.
I'm not sure if decent PS3 emulators have ever been completed esp since most of its games are cross platform and the PS3 version of a lot of them relied on Sony's proprietary servers to work.
It might be easier to just get a new PS3 rather than repair, they're probably cheap at this point.

The only use I could think of for an og PS3 ATP would be PS2 emulation and other devices are a lot better at that now, It's probably too old to be useful as a daily driver computer or anything else you could hack it to do. I'd say it's probably useless except to the most OCD collectors.
NES collectors are probably more common but it might be cheaper to sell it and let them fix it.
