Blackcat: maybe there is an option like, do not scan blocks <900021 or similair. Just in case the user knows exactly he did not get payments before block xy. But actually it could be a problem, once your first silent payment get pruned and you are to reinstall this application...

Pakes: i guess, as usual, ut is the convinience making the difference.
To me it is like a two sided sword. The idea is good but, as it is not me holding the private key, I dont like to trust others. Asspecial not the inefficent goverment.
The data might be pretty save at the goverment databese. However, the shard informations with third parties like comunes or insurances will be the weak spot.
It's not a question if infromations leak. It's just a matter of time. As long as nobody is forced to use the eID all is good. I doubt it will be like that.
My two reasons I voted against.

Running knots is a free choice. Am I right with the following? If Miner (pools) do not run knots, there is change with spam in OP return. However there will be a problem or delay by propagating blocks. Possible causing nrw problems.
So in summary knots node runners only signal not supporting core v30 and thus do not want spam on their disc.
I do not take position hete, just want to understand the subject.

As long as mining pools do not use knots by them self, there is little effect. Knots may not accept "Spam" blocks. On the other side, pools will not switch to knots, as "Spam" means more tx hence more fees.
A problem could be the loss of core nodes and the decentralization. As a node runner I actually do not want all this Spam filling up my disc.

Ok, so we understand it the same way. However, running an own lightning node is way to complicated for even avg. IT person. I hope this will increase.
Have a own node with maybe 5 channels requires already 6M sats to be save. This is only enought for small payments in US and EU standards. Smaller channels could be risky if fees grows massive in future. Beeing to high to have small channels running.

The majority of lightning node runners will have much less then 1 BTC. So it is more like "support the network". There need to be many nodes to avoid centralization. Setup and running a secure node is difficult enought and stops zhe majority of bitcoiners to have an own node. Let alone all the lightning managing stuff.

Yeah, same here. Did all this tutorial and watched all the videos. During all this cointless hours on my free evenings I could learn so much more as I do during my daily job. It even motivated me to do a workshop on the local bitcoin meetup and organizing the hardware.
The 402 content is for tec interested audience. And this is fine. We see how far off the mainstream is from Bitcoin. There is still much room and we should share the knowledge to avoid centrailzation. Particularly with lighning.

Go with the mini PC and Ibuntu. Follow the tutorial of 402 payment required. Apart from thenl rest server, everything is still valid.
Upside: You learn a lot about Linux and security.
Downside: you need much time.

It s a sparrow wallet. I did not manage to connect core lightning to bitcoin testnet4. Althought i changed the rpc port.
Do you have a lightning node on testnet4 running?

Basically Shitcoin on Bitcoin. This rollup stuff might bring us all Ethereum Shitcoins to Bitcoin. This could indeed be the next big hype.
Somehow good for Bitcoin, as it will once more everywhere be talked about. But somehow bad because this are Shitcoins and after the buble one might think it is Bitcoins mistake.
We will see. Personaly I am very pessimistic to this development. But open to be convinced for better. Bizcoin really needs privacy.
