If you're seriously saying that about the original trilogy of Star Wars movies then you are a blankface. The first two Star Wars movies are excellent pieces of cinema that have great pacing to every scene, great acting, and great special effects. The Ewoks in RotJ are super cheesy and arguably out of place but that doesn't detract from what the rest of the movie does well.
Of all the things they could be rightly criticized for, "incoherent and moronic" is something a tweenager would say. They're incredibly clear given that words like Jedi and The Force didn't exist prior to the movies releasing in theaters.

Who cares about losing money when you have no competition and you are connected to the people who print money? The point of putting this stuff in games and mass media isn't to make money or to attempt competing with the smaller studios and products - the point is to broadcast your servantship to the people who give you money.

Yes, it would if you were a human who had a desire to see things make sense and who disliked chaos abounding eternally. But the "people" who have been floated to the top of corporate structures are all yes-men who can only approve ideas; they have no ability to create their own and thus they cannot fathom why that might be a relevant question. So why not light half a billion dollars on fire to prove how much you love Big Brother?
Like I said, you're not the kind of 90-IQ brick walls I normally talk to about this so I don't think we're really disagreeing - but the reason why this stuff keeps appearing is simply because people who control large balls of money want it to keep appearing. Thus, it doesn't matter if it makes or loses money and pisses off everyone.

I have nothing personal against you, but the "it's a flop!" mentality is something I've heard from lots of very stupid people for a long time now. It's nice that the cracks are growing, but the industry is not going to topple overnight.
The point of taking money from DEI investors and Blackrock is that sales don't matter (as much). It's the same tactic that the Epic Games Store tried to use in order to funnel Unreal Engine money into becoming a competitor to Steam through aggressively bribing indie devs. Who cares if your game is a financial flop if you got to make back five times its production budget before being exposed to the market?
