this is the same major issue with monotheistic religions. they're all based on authoritarian models, which is why they take the top spots in global prevalence and have problems with direct and systemic violence. co-opting ideas from others, appropriating and perverting them, and then finally exerting control with them.
anything with this model is both a direct and moral failure IMO.

every once in a while i get consulted about solarpunk themed intentional communities and each time i say that the land and space has to be in a trust so that everyone who lives there owns it, i get pushback that it can't be that way or that a singular person will own it but benevolently. IMO this will always fail. whether good intentioned or not, a singular point of power is an authoritarian model.
