Tvåan finns bara i en storlek, den som är lite mindre än ett A4. Kan få upp skärmen i realtid på datorn, så jag har absolut använt den för att tänka i grupp (eller rättare sagt för att i videomöten skissa mina tankar).
Mest använder jag den dock som läsplatta. Dyker upp som skrivare i datorn, så när jag hittar intressanta blogginlägg trycker jag bara på print för att spara till den.

“Why did you choose Mastodon and not Bluesky?” This is my answer to that question. Återställningen? Japp. Migrerade till och med mellan två VPSer på det sättet för några månader sedan. Satt bara och gapade när allt var uppe och rullade på nya servern efter någon timme.

Och säkert på mer än ett sätt? Idrottare som förlorat en match pga misstag eller likande berättar ju ofta om sömnlösa nätter. Känner åtminstone jag igen från olösta datorproblem.

Wonderful! I have now managed to lock myself out from my #Pixelfed server due to #2FA problems! 🤣
But when I gave admin access to one of the other users, she can't do any password/security changes to my account. Should there be? Or is there a command to run from CLI?

Nej, Cloudron är snarare en ersättare till Cloudron som man installerar på egen VPS. Jag kör min hos tyska Netcup, för ett par Euro i månaden. Kraftfull nog för att bland annat hantera Mastodon, Pixelfed, några bloggar, och lite annat. Eftersom jag kör så många tjänster tillkommer dessutom 200 euro per år för Cloudron-licens.
Har också sätt dedikerade tjänster för att hosta Mastodon. Men minns inte namn på någon nu.

And it’s cool how the different parts of #fediverse intertwine: From my #pixelfed instance, with its UX focused on photos, I can follow accounts from #mastodon, but filter out everything those accounts post that’s not an image.

It’s also fascinating to discover a whole new part/community of the #fediverse. When I first moved here, I got started in the technology bubble, slowly adding climate, followed by science in general, and, leading up to the US election, politics.
And now photography.
It’s all here. But it perhaps takes a more effort to discover your peers on Fediverse compared to other platforms.

I don't think we necessarily need algorithms as complex that IP rights comes into play. I think we could come a long way with things as simple as popular links, options to give extra weight to links shared by specific accounts, etc. Customisable and transparent.

I really appreciate the innovation that happens throughout #fediverse (on top of the protocols) at the moment. This is one great example; [@phanpy](https://hachyderm.io/@phanpy )'s beta feature Catch Up.
When you have been away from your #Mastodon feed for a while, Catch Up lets you do just that. The most popular links followed by a different ways to filter and display other posts.
I also think its a terrific showcase for why I want #algorithmicfeeds: They are not a problem per se, only when they are opaque.

Jag testade att installera som GitHub Actions igår för min instans och har sedan dess fått ett par mail i timmen om att det inte funkar som det är tänkt. Ibland verkar processen kunna avslutas, men ofta inte.
Lyckas nu få igång men stöter på samma problem på vägen tar jag gärna del av lösningen!

From all I’ve read over the last few days, the consensus seems to be:
- #Bluesky have got a lot of the UX right, but there are still a lot to do on the infrastructure side to create a truly decentralized social media.
- #Mastodon / #Fediverse have come further in terms of building the underlying, decentralized infra, but are lagging behind when it comes to UX.
From what I’ve learned over the years, neither UX or infra are easy to fix down the road. But infra somewhat harder than UX.
