My point is it's not a LN or AI agents problem. It's bitcoin adoption even as a SoV is still low. Imo services need to impose bitcoin only payments, I know many do the opposite and add stablecoins and fiat payment options to get more revenue but probably after some time they could phase out other options. Like Jimmy Song said, we need services that people absolutely need and want and we need to take bitcoin only.

Filters are a quicker and more dynamic way for the nodes, including miners, to stop unwanted data. it's a tool of the whole network. If a fewminers disregard and decide that they will just mine those txs, then 1-the spammers incur in a cost, they loose the censorship resistance of the p2p network, it centralized service and pay a premium to the miners. 2-if this is considered harmful by a majority of the network, and miners are not following the gentlemans agreement, then the only choice is to force them by consensus, it's not by making their choices more widespread.

Nan. They are not. People must understand that they will always collaborate with authorities and give them what metadata they have. wich is IP probably and payment details. If you plan on doing illegal stuff, 1-dont use email, 2-dont use credit card for eg wich was the case. Also, if you become a gov agency target there is little places to hide. you always leave digital footprints. Proton is good to avoid 3rd parties spying on your emails like Google does. It's not a platform for crime.

Nan frente, I don't belive US will win this with troops on the ground. Iran has 100M people, there is a lot of logistics involved in sending troops and weapons to the other side of the world with that scale of numbers. US could even fight in Afghanistan that was armed with stick and stones. The only way the US can win in my opinion is if all the other allies in the region start attacking Iran.

Your use case is in no shape or form spam or bloat, it's the most simple transaction possible, it doesn't matter if it's a self transfer, that happens all the time when people consolidate transactions. I can even decide to just send to a different wallet that it's also mine. People won't also be creating dns entries in your system all the time. My only question is if to your system if I can afterwards consolidate the transaction or do I need to keep it untouched, otherwise I would say don't worry.

You can do your own clone of Twitter or FB, but you don't have the network effect. the same should be true for open source, there can be clones but if people trust you and your project collaborators i think your project will have an edge over an AI clone with zero collaborations. There is other problem wich is AI agents spamming your project with PRs, people will probably have to put some LN paywall to be a contributor or submit a PR. Either way software is going to zero.

If you look at some blocks there is a lot of hashrate that are almost 100% bip110 compliant. viabtc and F2pool don't seem to include subsat txs wich makes most of inscriptions. So financially they loose close to zero compared to know and get no risk in a chain split. Just saying.

At this point the biggest risk in an attack is not about hashrate cost but miner centralization. it's easier for a state to takeover miners in the US for eg than anything else.

I didn't say it's scales and grows forever, bitcoin price doesn't have to grow every cycle neither does hashrate. fees are the less significant factor in miner revenue, it's also the least predictable. It's a free market, it's not our job to find revenues for miners, there are a lot of variables in the market, we are now at 70k, not far from 2021 ATH, half the block reward and yet Hashrate is a lot higher. In 2022 bear market hashrate was already higher than in 2021. The hashrate will always adjust according to a lot of factors, fees are one of the smallest ones.

hashrate follows price. it's a function of price and it's a free market. you will always have the correct equilibrium of hashrate for the current bitcoin price/market cap. You get the security needed for the market cap value. Then there are a lot of factors, there's the production cost and bitcoin price, even if bitcoin price stays the same after 4 years there's also the efficiency gains in production that offsets that. Miners market adapts, that's why hashrate was lower than now even when block reward was a lot higher, that's why hashrate drops when price drops, even though that even on bear markets hashrate goes to ATHs. It's a free market and they adapt and compete. bitcoin mining is still in early times, hashrate will be a lot higher in the future. We don't need to try to to fix the "weather" its all equilibrium, it will sort itself.
