Well, that’s no good. Even if I mount a disk as read/write the #FujiNet #AppleII Disk ][ emulation doesn’t support writing. Guess I’ll have to go and add that to the FujiNet firmware now. Shouldn’t be too hard, right?

Logic analyzer connected and what is with all the thrash on WRPROT from the FujiNet? I see the SmartPort reset signal and then some data sent from the IIc+, but then the FujiNet doesn't seem to reply and just keeps toggling RD and ACK.

Took out all the debug prints and it’s easy to see how many receive errors there are with the 6850. Every percent sign is a mangled packet. Removing the debug prints improved the speed, now it’s 116 chars per second. Still far short of 3840 the port is set at. #RetroComputing #VintageComputing

Modified Kermit’s Super Serial Card driver which uses interrupts. Still have a lot of dropped characters. Kermit must be disabling interrupts in too many places.

@npub1rky…0xq2 When are you going to get Text Replacement working on Ivory on Mac? Works fine on iPhone/iPad, but not on the Mac. I know the Text Replacement is setup because I can go to TextEdit and when I type the shortcut and hit space it puts in the replacement.

Using #Wozamp to play an mp3 through an Apple IIe. Madness! Just an ordinary IIe with ordinary Super Serial Card.
The IIe speaker is too quiet. Can barely hear the music over the Systen Saver fan on the side. Need a way to hook up amplified speakers.

Also seems like the CPU soft lockup problem might have started right around the same time I decided to increase the server ram by adding another 64GB (2x32GB) to go to 80GB. Currently running with just the 64GB (since one of the 8GB sticks was found bad yesterday). Maybe old firmware can’t handle so much RAM?

Writing all the component names on was definitely the way to go. So much easier because I can drop a component down and then follow the trace to see what the other end connects to. Lots more to add, but this only took 20 minutes or so to put into KiCad.

I wanted to run a newer KiCad but the OS on my Mac is too old. I figured why not try that OpenCore Legacy thing and see if I can put Sonoma on my late 2012 Mac Mini. No matter what I do though I can’t get past this. Every answer I find is either “figured it out” with no details; or superstitious “reset the nvram” Command-Option-P-R, or “reset the smc” (which is *extremely* superstitious: unplug the power cord for N seconds? Really?).

Before I recycle the boxes I thought I’d take a picture of what the Toshiba T3200SX and T5200 were packed in to ship to me. Both computers are the same form factor. The T3200SX came in the box on top, and the box is barely larger than the computer. Yes, I gave the person that shipped the T5200 a big positive on eBay.

Oh and yes, this one also takes ISA cards, same as the T3200SX. In fact it came with a card already installed!

Not sure the floppy drive works either. I can hear it spin and seek but it keeps telling me none of the disks are bootable.

Everything it came with. Too bad it doesn’t have the shoulder strap for the bag. (Why would someone unbuckle that and lose it?)
