@nprofile…d3re Interesting and I suspected some technical reason behind this. I wonder though if the 9/10 minutes were chose by feel by those engineers of that mechanical clock. To me it's just too long, so I always have to adjust it in iOS.
That said, I feel like an old digital alarm clock of mine had a 3- or 5-minute snooze duration, but I am not sure..

Can someone please explain to me why the default snooze time on iOS is 9 minutes? First, why the weird number (not 10?) and second, why this long? I can easily fall asleep again within ~10 minutes 😅

#macOS tip for anyone on a notched #MacBook: Run `defaults -currentHost write -globalDomain NSStatusItemSpacing -int 8` in Terminal to reduce the spacing between menu items, so you don't run out of space so quickly because of the notch. Log in again to apply.

@nprofile…yltg Substitute Ansible with Packer and you will be even happier ;-) I'd like to have immutable VMs and rather have an image that I can update and replace VMs if necessary. Makes things more reproducible and also more secure, since you can make the OS read-only.

Is there any reason why I should use GoLand instead of IDEA Ultimate with the Go plugin? Outside of the usual DevOps stuff I will write code in Kotlin and I mainly need Go for operators, bots, etc.

I’ve been using #Linux for decades and still use it today, even professionally. But I have never heard of the `column` command. At first I thought nothing much of it but then I learned that you can turn /etc/passwd into JSON with it 😳

I fully understand that I cannot expect volunteers to always be on top of their hobby projects. But it’s a shame that there is no other plugin for Ansible support in Jetbrains IDEs that works with an IDE version that came out this year.

I think there’s a bug in @nprofile…79ya . When you swipe to remove an account in settings you get a confirmation message that asks you to enter "delete" into a text field if you’re sure. I chose cancel but the account is now gone 🤨
