Last night I had a look at the Rail Announcement Generator again. Glad to see it's still being updated.
I just love that a nerd took the time to build it and also made sure that it's screen reader accessible (not so much on iOS and I think it's more Apple's doing).
Also shame on Worldline for not allowing him to use the Anne voice I remember them using at Manchester Piccadilly. I haven't been on a train in years so I don't know who they use now.

According to a podcast I just listened to a bit of, the sound of Bhangra music as it is today was largely develop by a white bloke from Essex called Peter Ware. I can't seem to find much info outside of this interview with Ware, but if that's the case that's not what I expected at all.

I listened to the Organist Entertains mainly for the electronic organ and Hammond stuff. I loved Mark Shakespeare on the Böhm and didn't mind Klaus Wunderlich.
Really glad I managed to track down a copy of my favourite song I heard on that program - a right funky version of "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling" by Alan Haven.

In my experience, when it comes To authors who write novels about anthropomorphic animals, Dick King Smith is the best of them. I've loved his books since I was a child and still occasionally read them as an adult.
With that said, that's my opinion, and I'd love to see other author recommendations.
Other ones I know of include Colin Dann, Brian Jacques and Robin Jarvis.

Just finished The Fox Busters - a new to me Dick King Smith book. It was his first which I think you can tell from how it's written. But still what a start to his writing career and bloody hell it's brutal.
Very of its time in some ways with rigid gender rolls particularly with how Spillers and Massy Harris (not sure of spelling as I listened to the audiobook) are written. MH could've done with a good pecking off Spillers.
I will say that I was pleasantly surprised that the titular Fox Busters were pullets.
On the hole I enjoyed it and I'd probably give it 4 out of 5 stars.

Having a play with the US International keyboard layout on Windows. It'll be a handy thing to have for the occasional times I need to type accented letters and the like.
I just wish there was a UK version because I'm not getting used to the @ and " keys swapping round.

There was someone doing similar to this in Rossendale, Lancashire in the 90s. My primary school was invited to make sculptures of horses out of willow. The artist already built the frames and we had to fill them. I wonder if it's the same woman.

Thankfully they haven't figured out a way of tricking screen reader users yet. I'd just hear the text of the links so I'd choose yes anyway. I can get my screen reader to tell me formatting and colours but I'll only do that when I need to know that info.

Dreamt I was involved in a protest about... something. Whatever it was, we caused that much mayhem that the posh hotel me and my dad had booked into no where near the protest refused to let us stay there.
Then I was back home texting with some of the people from the protest, which included old friends from college as well as Marti Pellow for some reason. My wife wondered why I was awake early and my dad wanted to know who all these people were in the group chat. I was sending messages from my Apple Watch.

Spent most of the day going through the audio files on Encarta 95, the first version I experienced when I was in primary school.
I found the artist and title of a song I've wondered about for decades - Read Oh by Soul Vibrations. They use it to illustrate popular music of Nicaragua. Shame it's not available anywhere though. I remember Blue peter or something like that using it as well.

Morning.
Probably should've posted this yesterday but the only thing I liked about Palm Sunday was, when I was friends with a woman who was a Christian, she took me to her church where they gave me one of those crosses made from palm leaves. It just looked cool how it was put together and I still don't know how they make them.
They also sang a proper school assembly banger - When I needed a neighbour were you there.
I think it was then that I also did communion just because I wanted to see what the wafers are like, But they used bits of bread. How boring. I've since found out that those flying saucer sweets are apparently made from surplus communion wafers.

When creating an account on Wikipedia and all other Wikimedia projects, you still have to fill in a captcha with no accessible alternative, apart from asking someone to create one for you.
The issue ticket about this will be 20 years old next year and still nothing's being done about it.

Always amazes me that video game music composers for systems like the NES and Mega Drive had to write it all in hexadecimal. It's absolutely mind boggling to me, compared to today's consoles where they can use whichever DAW they like and export audio files.
I just read some documentation about the Game Boy's sound chip. The only parts I understood was what each channel is used for and the sounds it can produce. The parts about getting it to do things... not a clue.

Wikipedia mentions that it's Global Accessibility Awareness Day on the English version's main page, but to create an account on there and many of the Wikimedia Foundation's other projects you have to complete an inaccessible captcha. They offer an option for someone to create an account for you if you can't fill it in, but that's not good enough.
There's been a ticket open about this since 2006 according to the date stamp and nothing's been done.
