Hi, dev of Quiblr here. Thanks for all the kind words! I'm glad you've been enjoying Quiblr!
I've haven't had as much time to work on Quiblr lately. It has always been a side-project for me, never a full time gig.
The web platform is in a good stable state and the native app is 90% done. I'd love to finish up the last 10% of the iOS/android app but I know that inevitably that will come with it's own overhead, fixes, etc. once it's live
But all in all, Quiblr isn't going anywhere :)

I created [Quiblr](https://quiblr.com) which acts as a client for all Lemmy servers. I've tried to remove some of the friction that comes with the Fediverse (including the sign up).
Check it out and let me know what you think. It sounds like you're exactly the kind of user I built Quiblr for (i.e. folks who are familiar with big tech social media and are not familiar with the fediverse)

As you noted, Quiblr's **For You** feed gives an entirely customized recommendation feed + it is 100% private and runs on the device (not via a data center... so no data ever leaves the device)

Ahh I see. If that happens in the future, you can also click the 3 dots on the post and press "Show Less". It will add more weight so it rise up in the For You feed

Not at this time. I built the For You feed to be flexible for both signed in and not-signed in users. I can look into adding it as a feature, but it may take a while because Im working to finish the native mobile apps at the moment

Hi all,
In Quiblr, you can now convert your Lemmy messages into live chats using **adaptive polling**!
This strategy works by initially checking for new messages in short intervals. If no new messages are detected, the polling interval increases (to be resource efficient for Instances). No more needing to keep refreshing your messages page!
It is still in beta and it can be switched on/off in the settings

I've tried to put an emphasis on making Quiblr with an intuitive UI, accessible (e.g. dyslexia fonts, text-to-speech, font size settings, etc.), and novel features.
There are certainly other clients that are feature rich! But I envision Quiblr as a clean, familiar social media experience that reduces the friction that comes with the fediverse

That is the long term vision. This has been just a passion project that I work on the side. But keeping it all react native has made it easier for me to manage 1 app for web, iOS, and Android.
I didn't want to rush out a native version though. I want it to really utilize native functionality

Recommendations are entirely, 100% on your device. There is no association between your account and the recs. So there is no transfer of data to or from your account. You can log in with your current Lemmy profile and the recs will work all the same!
The benefit of logging in is that you have more ways to interact on lemmy (so your recommendations will be more tailored)

The recommendation engine is 100% private and on-device + it can be turned off via settings. It's novel and more experimental, but I wanted it to be available for folks to get more relevant content
For the remove duplicate posts feature, it keeps whichever is 1st in the feed (so it depends which sort method is used). It only applies for posts with the same title and from the same OP. Another experimental feature, but this has been a particular point of annoyance that I've heard from folks (i.e. the same exact post filling up a feed)

Hi all,
Sharing a few updates for [Quiblr](https://quiblr.com). See below:
- **For You feed:** A few more signals have been added to Quiblr's recommendation feed. As always, it is (and always will be) 100% private and it still runs entirely on your device. I'm hoping to do a more technical write-up on this at some point in the future. Let me know if that'd be something that interests you!
- **Navigation:** I did a complete rework of Quiblr's page navigation. Before, I was leaning on PWA elements for speed and I hadn't invested enough time on optimizing the URL navigation. Clicking around, refreshing, going back, etc. should be a lot more seamless now!
- **Other features:** Some other additions include a "Forgot Password" button on the login screen, using the device settings for dark/light theming, and adding options in settings to show/hide scroll bars & flip the voting arrow order
