The new #Sentinel2-C satellite should be launched tonight to replace the older but still excellent #Sentinel2-A.
For cost reasons, it is not planned to keep S2A operational. Still, it would be very useful, see: https://labo.obs-mip.fr/multitemp/lets-ask-copernicus-to-keep-s2a-operational-after-s2c-launch/
Having three operational satellites instead of two would increase the revisit frequency and largely improve the quality of the generated maps and the reliability of operational services.

The #THEIA land data center just opened its new portal for continental hydrology.

- first beta products from #SWOT satellite
- years of data from satellite altimeters above lakes
- snow and water surfaces products obtained with the #LetItSnow and #Surfwater processors, from #Sentinel2 data processed with #MAJA_L2A
It required huge developments at #CNES, which include
- a new #HPC cluster
- a new processing center
- a new data access center
