Hello!
Three years ago on this date we opened The Wedale Bookshop, fulfilling one of my lifelong dreams. Now, we have two bookshops in the beautiful Borders and I cannot believe how lucky I am. There have been bad times and a very many good times. Here we are, then, a bookselling team of four and soon to be more.

It's 10 years since a revived Borders Railway opened and one of the main reasons why we opened where we did. Having Stow station less than five minutes' walk from the bookshop has brought us many regular customers from across the Borders, Midlothian, Edinburgh and beyond. As a green-hearted bookshop, having good public transport is essential to us and we are so very happy that the railway has helped us to grow.

Good morning! Yesterday turned into our busiest day of the year so far and we are so happy to have met so many new folk and to welcome back regular customers! Stow is a beautiful place to visit and explore and we hope to welcome many more cyclists, walkers and tourists! Rest a while at our picnic benches and charge your e-bikes for free. "Joshua in the Sky" is both an autobiography and biography, linking Rodge’s life with that of his nephew Joshua, who was born in March 2017 and died three hours after birth from HHT, the rare genetic blood condition shared across Rodge’s family.
