I just learned something new about URLs. You can force a browser to scroll to and highlight any text on any page, even when it has no `id` attributes anywhere, by using https://whatever/somepage#:~:text=Iwantyoutohighlightthistext

oh, no, there is definitely a pattern here: this is what happens if I click-drag the GIF on the page, and you can see the interpolation effect from down-scaling a subtle pattern in the image as I drag it around.

A note on #JavaScript terseness: you might not know that JS can do these two things, which obviates the need for the classes "x = x || something else" inside your function bodies:
1. function parameters are sequentially scoped, so this works:
```
function something(a, b = a*2, c = a+b, d=morph(c)) { ... }
```
2. destructuring is also sequentially scoped, so this also works:
```
const { a, b=3, c=a+b } = someObject;
```

this study seems to forget to look at a giant elephant in the room: how much did Denuvo cost over those periods, and was that more than the revenue lost from piracy?
Because Denuvo isn't exactly cheap and is charged not "per game" but "per month, per game".
