I circled Trump International Hotel LV in Google Maps but couldn't find a matching location, however, the imagery is 4 years old. There are a lot of Trump logos, but they don't quite match the one in the photo, they're more garish.

Found it on the side of the road a couple of years ago, but didn't have confidence in my gluing skills until I repaired another farmhouse rustic piece and worked out some techniques. The bottom section is 9 pieces and every glue joint had failed, it's fabulous luck that the little support posts kept them all in place.

The Big Lie about the economy was Trump's main tactic. The social media trolls repeated over and over again the most absurd claims, e.g. average family was spending $1100 more a month on groceries, grocery prices had quadrupled, gas was unaffordable. All of this was false, easily confirmed as false by a simple walk down the aisles of a grocery store, but the Big Lie is incredibly effective.

On the Media is top-notch. If you don't listen to another podcast, listen to it. Its meta-analysis of the news is always valuable. Recent episode took on the "outside agitator" narrative about student protests. Serial is also doing good work. New Yorker Radio Hour is reliably interesting.

Skills on Miller's part! Morgan tried to shut him up with "I agree, I agree" but Miller d rove right over that tactic and called Morgan himself to task for his Trump-pandering habits. Miller has a roster view of the party than reality would support, but it's a good thing there are a few Republicans who have resisted the fascist drift. Maybe it could go back to the pre-Nixon days when it wasn't a cabal of criminals and perverts.

The Adam Smith definition of "free market" is not "unregulated" it is "open to entry and exit by all merchants." That is the condition where market forces work to the benefit of society. Smith specifically warns about businesses colluding against the public.
Friedman's disingenuous definition of "free" has taken over. By his definition, murder for hire is a legitimate business.

Americans who use "neoliberal" are generally using it merely to tar liberals with a word they know is bad, without knowing or caring what it means. "Neoliberals" are "neo" because they are harking back to a time when free markets were a progressive idea and cartelism was the standard. For a few months now, I've noticed that the chemtrail conspiracy theorists have decided en masse that they are cloud seeding intended to cause floods. Contrast to the previous situation where all they could agree on was that it was the government and bad.The most dominant version is that the purpose of the floods is to simulate climate change symptoms.
Does anyone know of a source that tracks disinformation narratives over time? I'm curious as to when this one actually appeared and where.

The promotion protocols of the military make it ripe for organized corruption of this sort, as anyone not on board can be frozen out by superior officers.
