Sythentic "kratom" is not kratom and synthetic THC is not marijuana, but the association is unavoidable.
Natural kratom is a useful and safe herbal remedy for pain that reduces the need for opiates. My wife and I have both used it for years to manage chronic pain. It has been a great boon.
Florida took a middle road between the two extremes - they banned the dangerous synthetic "kratom" and the natural kratom leaf remains legal. I think this is a good compromise.

As someone who got his first computer 3000 years ago (1980s), I am amazed at how cheap storage is now.
Memory is also dropping in price, but storage is dirt cheap. Everything from USB sticks to hard drives with huge capacities are going for chump change.
2TB hard drives for under $100 seems nuts to a guy whose first 20mb (MEGABYTE!) mechanical HDD was part of a $1000 IBM 8088 desktop machine.

The surge is just starting in Tampa, and the storm has passed by the mouth of Tampa Bay. Now the winds will shift out of the southwest and onshore. South Tampa residents have a long night ahead.

If you try to tell me that federating with #Threads or #BlueSky is a good thing, then I am blocking you.
Anyone who thinks that is brainwashed by capitalism and usually won't listen to reason.
If you still think that letting Mark Fucking Zuckerberg into your #Mastodon feed is a good idea, then I have a bridge and some swamp land to sell you.
Threads and BlueSky are not your friends - they would take over and destroy Mastodon if they could. And they will eventually try.
