At some point hopefully we decouple... but to get there we have to start to do more pricing of commodities in BTC as opposed to the dollar. That will greatly stabilize it as well. I would love to see some exchanges with synthetic commodities priced against BTC and redeemable for the real goods. If my pork bellies and frozen orange juice concentrate were priced that way then I could expect more similarities between sats and bacon on the store shelf.

Yeah, I think so. Its literally a make-work program out there. There are ways around it though. Step 1: Drive a diesel truck. Diesel is self-serve. Step 2: Buy a 1000 gallon diesel tank and put it outside your barn and fill up there! Better prices if you watch the markets too. 3: Get a gas card from a local private network of commercial gas stations. They are somehow outside the rules because they are "private" not public. So you can roll up and pump. No problem. 4: Live in Eastern Oregon and no one gives a shit. You just do what you want cuz the camera is "broken again"

Its funny... I come here to see if it is really a place where strong freedom of speech is supported. I do a few "test fires" on a few things here and there. You know, the stuff one would say to ruffle some feathers and really test the situation...
Then an odd thing happens. I end up getting randomly banned here and there on a few different and completely unrelated platforms where I have unlinked and unrelated accounts. One where I have been for a very long time and another one much more recent... Is there a datamining operation happening here on Noster? Serious question? Personally I am extremely debt adverse. I see it like this.... Why mess around with debt when there are smaller scale projects that will move more. I always liked the idea of 00/12mil (Infinity/21mil) Essentially it is the idea that BTC is the base currency. EVERYTHING is priced in it. Super strong stuff like gold, beach houses, unvaxxed sperm, and high quality bacon... right alongside the most horrible shitcoins, yappy-dogs, fat girls and (redacteds). Everything.
So learn to manage risk and never touch debt. When times are sketch... Risk off. When its the pump times then Ape! Im not a maxi but one thing I know for sure is that all blockchains are both tools and weapons. Powerful ones at that. No reason to limit yourself.

There are different forms but you give it to a smart contract and (often) receive a secondary token that allows you to vote on the actions of the organization you gave it to. So your staking is kinda like buying stock in a company. Your money is tied up but you get a say in what happens. Well, depending on how these things are organized you can get all sorts of cool stuff. You could have a DAO that instead of staking for votes could stake for a pooled treasury that then makes investments and pools returns. Kinda like a mutual fund. (Concave Co-op)
You could have an existing platform that generates income from providing a service like options contracts that charges a fee for that service. Buying and staking the governance tokens allows you to vote in the platform but you also get a claim on the platform income! (Ribbon Dao). Then the derivatives kick in and the votes themselves can be sold and a 'bribe' market can be established where one can sell their governance votes thus getting paid platform fees AND for governance votes. Redacted Cartel is the first I have seen do this on an industrial scale with their Hidden Hand platform.
There are more and there will be MANY more similar things like this coming out with staking. NFTs are going to enter the staking world here soon and we are going to see these type of things bleeding into the real world. I am waiting for someone to figure out how to own and subdivide a property, like a vacation home, or a private jet using these tools. Holding 1/365th of the tokens entitles you to stay at the property for a day OR you get the income from that day if you stake it back into the property's DAO and it rents. Not all days are the same though so there will spring up a market where I can trade my Tuesday through Saturday in May for your Valentines day...

You Ser are asking the right questions. My guess is that there is literally nowhere on earth where you can openly retain even a moderate libertarian semi-sovereign lifestyle. Understood. Do mention the Insurance company giving them a better rate because they can use the camera to NOT pay them in the advent of an accident. May I suggest the operation of heavy equipment as a potential direction you can go? I learned to drive a back-hoe watching Youtube videos, rented one and used it for demolition during a disaster. It made me a shitload of money and I bought a skidsteer, watched the youtube videos to run that and then made an even more money. I did all the maintenance myself which is how I stayed ahead of most costs. It was one of the best times of my life. Highly recommended. Good luck!

Hang in there man. You are right to do that, but at the same time the company is being forced to do it by their insurance company. If they do NOT do that then their insurance rates climb precipitously. In reality it is simply a way to train people to be accustomed to a camera in their face every single day of their lives forever and get them accustomed to being severely punished if the camera turns off. You will be replaced by a camera lover and he will make more money than you because he accepts those situations more than you. Then he will wreck the truck and the insurance company won't have to pay out because of the records that the cameras produced. Your former company will have to eat the cost there since there is a 0 correlation between someone's tolerance of being watched with a camera an their ability to safely drive a vehicle...
I wonder what your bosses would say when that happens? You should present that idea to them as a reason for why they are forced to drive you out based on your camera-toleration as opposed to your driving ability? Having been banned from many online platforms for various reasons... usually for carefully pushing ideas that are hot-button topics for people until I am reported and banned... I learned a heck of a lot about the importance of free speech. On a very large platform the effect I am about to describe is less pronounced. On a small one though... it is very prevalent.
If a platform will ban someone because of an unsavory idea then a specific event will happen across that platform over time! The only people who will remain are those who not only are against that idea but also those who support censorship of speech! You get a double-dose there! In very short order the platform is full of people who enjoy censorship of speech and the absolute blocking of unsavory ideas by erasing them completely from existence!
For the 0 people who read this today, contemplate this a bit over a long time period and think about the results on the 'population' that will remain on the platform over time. Even a very small and obvious set of banned information will leave a platform with an overabundance of censorship nazis as potential long term users flow in and out of the platform. A very interesting thing indeed. The censorship-lovers remain and love the platform because they are always right and the longer they are there the more right they are and the more often they are right as time goes on! Proof that they are so smart.

The US is pretty much an early stage failed nation. It can still be turned around but it won't be. As time goes on this will become more and more obvious as the governments attack citizens and the citizens attack eachother. There will be a major war this decade. Probably fought partly on US soil if not completely on US soil (civil war). My guess is there will be no great leader that will rise up to slam the nation back into place this time. Instead a divided and weakened America will see states fracture and move lines... That won't work our half as good as those who work for it will think it will... and the lines will move again and again.
Then there will be an event like Texas leaving the US with the support of Russia and Mexico. Something like that. Smaller outlying islands in the pacific and Caribbean will head for the exits of the SEC and IRS laws that block them from getting sick sick financial gains from all sorts of blockchain money sloshing around. Eventually agitation groups like Antifa and Q and BLM et. al. are going to claim territory. It appears that Antifa is the most active in this realm today but I have a feeling the dark horse that will win the race in all this will be good ole Islam. Islamists are going to form an autonamous zone up in the rust belt of the great lakes and impose Sharia law over the top of the US Government Constitutional system and the government won't do a thing about it out of fear of being called racist. That group will then expand.
Tl;Dr: The US is fucked and will fall if 95% of its government is not swept away quickly and legally and a literal interpretation of the original Constitution imposed with a VERY heavy and swift hand which won't happen. Something that I have never understood is the war between BTCers and everyone else. Yes, BTC is the first, it is the base, ,the castle keep, the final fortress who's walls the fiat-enemy must smash against before humanity is struck down completely. But arrayed out in the green fields around Castle BTC are phalanxes of soldiers. Some hold spears, some field cannons. Many have built their own lesser fortifications and resistances between the Fiat-enemy and Castle-BTC. Arguably they have done this not to support BTC but instead to support themselves, and this is not a bad thing.
This is not a bad thing because in building their ramparts... In fielding their rather disorganized and sometimes counter-productive troops they have created layers and layers and layers of shit that the fiat army must smash through to get to Castle BTC. Entire armies must be raised by the forces of evil, like Gary Gensler and Janet Yellen. They must spend years attacking XRP; resources to convince people internal and external to their organizations that ETH does indeed fit some idiotic 100 year old system of classification that obviously does not apply. All the while the Lords and Ladies of Castle BTC look out over their walls and watch this happen.
They have the opportunity to learn the tactics and techniques of the enemy as the lesser forces arrayed before them are attacked in wave after wave. They have the opportunity to build safely and freely, clear from endless attacks by garbage government bureaucrats and legal systems because BTC is not the low-hanging-fruit. Instead Library Coin is. Instead XRP is, Kraken is. Those people, their armies and their very lives stand between the enemy of us all and Castle-Bitcoin.
Do the Lords and Ladies of Castle Bitcoin take any advantage of this situation though? Do they actively and fervently learn from the enemies attacks? Do they offer support and resources to help those being slayed by our mutual enemy? Nay! They point and laugh! They scoff and support the enemy of us all by cheering on the destruction of the smaller projects and lesser chains! They support the enemy of us all!!! They openly support the Great Fiat Satan.
This terrible foe has simply stated "Bitcoin is not a security". That is all it took to get Bitcoiners to fall on their knees and side with that enemy against platforms and chains that are literally copy-and-paste from your own. Guess what is going to happen when the field of battle is swept clean of all chains and all blockchain projects and the enemy arrives at the walls of Castle Bitcoin? Will they stare dumbly up at its stone curtain-wall... lay their swords down on the ground... Kneel before the Lords and Ladies of Castle Bitcoin and admit the futility of their multi-decade siege of the walls? No.. They won't. Instead they will simply have those fuckwits in the US Congress write some NEW LAWS that regulate the ever-living fuck out of Bitcoin and create a much more comprehensive and long-lasting set of rules that broadly apply to all blockchain assets without exception. Mark my words when I say this... all other nations on earth will follow suit when this happens. There will be nowhere to run to. Castle BTC will be conquered, not from outside forces, but from open capitulation and loss of founding values of its members. When Castle Bitcoin falls all is lost.
I am aghast and deeply disappointed by such shameful support of the Great Fiat Satan by Bitcoiners. The endless missed-opportunities to learn and position and support others who are working to do the same. The most dangerous words that can ever be spoken are "we have already won". There is no such thing as having already won. Only the first few volleys have even been fired let alone a winner been determined. In fact I would say that the potential opportunity for a decisive victory by BTC (and all other bockchain assets) is quickly receding right now as we squabble and isolate ourselves into little tribes instead of forming what they really truly fear... a massive and ever more complex system that gobbles up their value on-chain (through any means necessary) and rejects their laws and norms definitively.
I suggest that the idiotic battle between BTC and everyotherfuckingthingever is completely and totally invented by the SEC, by the FED and by the World Bank to divide us up so that we can easily and neatly be packed into some new regulations that will absolutely end in our complete and total defeat. The fervent support of these new regulations by BTCers is necessary. If we stand as a united front against them they have no hope of ever winning this war. They have already lost, but if we can be divided and made to fight each-other then in the end we will lose and quite literally, all will be lost as blockchains are used to enslave humanity instead of free it.
I do not expect positive statements from writing this. In fact I expect to have 0 followers here going forward because of this post. I am not making it because I think even a single person's mind can be changed. I am making it simply so I can point back to it when the above actually happens. FUCKING PROVE ME WRONG fine and noble Lords and Ladies of Castle BTC.
