I know you’ve replied (I can see when I go to your post on Ottawa place but can’t see it here)… I’ve requested an account. Fingers crossed they are happy to take a pesky union worker who like posting about knitting 🤭

I’m trying to decide where to land. I get downtimes etc, but the lack of communication has been annoying. (And not knowing if this reply will even go through is frustrating too). Maybe it’s time to join the Ottawa people.

I agree! We are always asked to compromise and vote red. The reds underfunded education and health for years. I’ve been in education now for around 12 years. My first year as a permanent education worker I was thrown into work to rule on my first day. It’s not getting better.

I too wish they were in my riding. Ours has been announced and he doesn’t seem to have much presence. And he’s up against the good old Con-Liberal Stephen Blais. Whom of course everyone loves because council.

that’s what my husband was like watching me play Coral Island… until he played it himself and realized how much fun the game is.

mine got annoyed at Cnd one but insists on me waiting for him to watch the UK one 🤭 A new season just started over there so it’s on our “sit on the sofa together and veg” rotation once a week.

found it on GEM. One season so far last year. It’s good, but the UK one is just so warm and fuzzy.

in no particular order: Bake Off, Great Pottery Showdown (prefer the UK one but the Canadian is ok), Buffy, Midsomer Murders, Schitts Creek, The Librarian(s) (The movies and the TV series that spawned after it).

I’m loving the birds vicariously through you at the moment. We’ve had to pause bird activity until we can figure out some rat deterrents. They’ve managed to break one of the feed holes so it doesn’t matter if it closes anymore. We are kind of limited in what we can do (renting plus funds) so may have to forgo them all together sadly. So thank you for your beautiful photos of Ottawa birds.

I had Elon Musk(1234) follow me the other day… I do love a block button.

the books are just wonderful. I really liked how they executed the show too. Season 1 was perfect. And I normally hate watching something I loved reading.

Can any Canadian knitters recommend a good knitting website? I have a very small yarn shop near me and the usual big box store. I’d love to find some great Canadian online stores to supplement my obsession.

we’ve been getting a couple of woodpeckers to our feeder too. And we’ve been inundated with American goldfinches, house finches and chickadees. We didn’t really have anywhere to place feeders, so I ziptied a metal hook from the dollar store onto our deck railing. It’s been working wonders. (Is post a pic but it’s hard to not know exactly where we are with the background sadly).
