Trying to asynchronously send a MIDI clock message, but the interval is always a bit longer than what I tell it to loop over. I tell it 120 beats per minute, but my MIDI device tells me it's clocking at 114 BPM.
Why is the loop interval not being honored with my code?
For the record, I am trying to wrap my head around asyncio but am obviously not using it correctly. Here is some code I cobbled together from brain/web:

Finally finished my #Python #MIDI control program. It is *sweet*! It takes a YAML file with the definitions of the note_on/note_off, control_change, pitchwheel, & synthesizer target values, & then converts the controller gesture or note to a synthesizer note_on/note_off or control_change message. Confused yet? Haha! It's really quite simple in practice.

However when I showed another object with a similar design, he said, "No! Use 2 combined STLs for multicolor.
So that is what to do: Place a separate, colored QR code on the thin card surface. It should print better... YMMV

#3dPrinting a replacement Cracker Joack prize for my girlfriend. It's a 5 mm disk with a 1 mm tall x 3 mm diameter cylinder on top. This cylinder has a hole 1 mm in diameter that is too big by not sure how much yet. Trying 0.1 mm increase increments. At some point the object won't slice. Not sure at what point yet. Wish me luck! 🤞

Ok. Time to put my friend, Jeremy's intelligent pitch phrase generator, #Perl module, that I ported to #Python, on pypi so I can use it. Apparently the Python ecosystem for creating music is not even close to that of the Perl things on CPAN.

Apparently, no testing is done on this legacy code. It either "just works" or users complain... So even though it will not be one of my specific assigned duties, I will start slowly implementing tests (for my own sanity, at least). Unit, integration, acceptance, etc.

A fascinating company that I applied to, two months ago, emailed a request to interview. (The first in 8 months!) They are pretty far outside of town, require 100% on-site in a stupid office, and use a programming language I haven't touched for 30 years (Pascal/Delphi). So they probably can't find anyone... 🤞

Well after printing 3 spools of filament with no problems, suddenly my FlashForge Adventurer 5M makes an ugly stuttering ratcheting sound and says, "No trigger on probe. Please check level sensor."
There is zero advice on line. I have emailed support, but I assume they will regurgitate things to try that I have already tried. Probably going to return this POS.
