I'm using Firefox 147.0. The latest version is 147.0.3. Why are you telling me "Element does not support this browser".
Matrix & Element are slow. I can live with that, but why are you displaying such weird pop-ups while listing Firefox as supported browser?
I left all rooms as consequence. XMPP works better anyway.

In an ideal world: yes. But when you vote them and they are below 5%, your vote has no further influence. If you vote a party with realistic chances, that means less seats for AfD and CDU. All surveys show 3-4% for the Linke. (https://www.wahlrecht.de/umfragen/) That means they don't have any chance. Even if we try. I think the AfD is far too dangerous to try and hope.

The app in the screenshot states that you follow me, but my account doesn't accept follow requests my default. I could also add someone's mastodon profile's RSS link into my feed reader. That wouldn't make my feed reader part of the Fediverse and it wouldn't display follower only posts, just like you won't see them.

The Fediverse is huge and much more than Mastodon, but does not include Nostr or similar protocols. I use services, that are not Mastodon, but part of the Fediverse, myself (Lemmy, Pixelfed).
Blockchains and web3 are certainly interesting technologies, but caused a huge bubble and many scams in the past. This caused a lot of scepticism and is also the reason I don't believe in them. There may be good usecases for these technologies, but I currently don't see them.

I don't think everything beyond the Mastodon part of the fediverse is web3. Wikipedia (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fediverse) defines the Fediverse as a "collection of social networking services that can communicate with each other (formally known as federation) using a common protocol". This definition excludes protocols that don't federate with each other, but are completely decentralized.

I have seen that your talk/presentation is about Nostr. Because there a huge overlap of Nostr users with the crypto-bro bubble, I assumes you are a fan of these technologies. I'm sorry for judging too quickly in that case.
However, the main point, that things are duplicated or not a protocol (like pixelfed or Element), is still valid. It seems like grabbing as much words as possible to look impressive.

Discord, the protocol and Matrix is there two times and also called Element (which is just the client).
