🚫 If they’re after the usual “pay-to-play” kind of reach (aka paying for ads), then probably not.
Nostr isn’t about using the same old marketing tricks. No paid ads, no post boosting. And honestly, that’s what makes it awesome. When people engage with your content here, it’s because they actually want to—not because some algorithm decided they should. For me, that’s huge! I hate how on IG I don’t see posts from people I follow until one day they randomly show up and I think, “Hey, I haven’t seen this person in forever.”

I’ve talked about this before, recently actually. It sucks, right? That just like that, your account you worked so hard to grow can be wiped out—gone—and there isn’t anything you can do about it! And sadly, Twitter (X), Meta, and other platforms don’t have a customer service system that actually gets results. Sometimes I wonder if there’s even anyone behind the screen working on these issues because I never see anyone say they got their account back. Most people need to start a new account, and that means losing everything—your content, your audience, and years of effort.
This is why Nostr matters. There’s no central authority deciding whether you get to stay or go. No support tickets sent into the void. Your account, your keys, your control. If one relay shuts down, your posts still exist elsewhere. No one can just erase you because of a policy change or some automated moderation system.
Twitter is fiat. Nostr is the future.

Let’s talk shadowbans!
Has this ever happened to you?
I know my videos have been flagged in stories or my reels, and then I have to dispute them and hope they get reinstated.
Thankfully, I haven’t experienced a complete ban (all jokes aside), but I know people who have, and it’s pretty crazy. Unless you’re posting things you shouldn’t (and I really shouldn’t have to specify what those things are), you shouldn’t have to worry about being shadowbanned. Sadly, that’s not the case on many platforms.
What’s wild is that this isn’t happening on Nostr. No random flagging, no weird algorithm deciding if your content gets seen, and no shadowbanning for simply sharing your thoughts. It makes you wonder—why are other platforms so quick to silence people? 🤔

Engagement on Nostr is different than other platforms. I’ve been on Twitter (X) for years, and I have never been able to truly grow over there. You could say I didn’t really try, or maybe I was engaging with the wrong people; I just never got it! But on Nostr, you don’t have to worry about the algorithms, no artificial limits—just authentic conversations.
On traditional platforms, it often feels like a struggle to get your voice heard. Sometimes I feel like I’m just writing in a journal that no one will ever read!
And maybe you might have a ton of followers, but if the algorithm decides to play games, your content barely reaches anyone. Here, if someone follows you, they actually see your posts! That’s huge!! I know so many people that I follow on IG that I never see their content until I realize I haven’t seen them in a while and then go to their page. That really sucks. If I follow you, I want to see what you are posting.

I agree with you; I think most people would want both. I haven’t had time to read in a long time, but when I did, I liked books that were more fantasy, adventure, or paranormal, with some romance in them.
I do believe advice books are more geared toward women, but these days they cater to both genders. I think men might lean more toward achievement and detail, but not all; some would want both.
