I've never taken social media seriously. Social media is an entertainment platform. It's where I go to talk to people, have fun, enjoy interesting conversations and just see what happens for the fun of it. To me, social media isn't something that matters in the grand scheme of things, because overall, its just a whole bunch of people who we don't really know mostly in 1 space speaking about different topics because we can connect all over the world. I tell you, I'm glad I'm not in politics in 2025. You know why? because most and I do mean a majority these days of people my age have 0 empathy for what happens to people in politics. Want proof? Fellow dies yesterday, I hear it happen on video, can't see it but the guy is essentially gushing blood until he dies and you know what I expect? people to be civilized, posts about how absolutely terrible this is that a man quite literally dies on video in front of an entire audience with his last 2 words being gang violence. You know what I get? people making "sticking out your neck" jokes, posting memes, talking about how this guy is better off dead because he said some things other people didn't agree with. Regardless, I am getting some help and my mother seems to be happy that I'm putting in effert, though this means very little right now as I could easily be told to leave without warning and with no legal protections, because there is no legal contract or cash exchange from me to her.

I'm not completely hopeless, I just know what I've been through from my personal experience of being outright ghosted or rejected, not even an interview, just full ghosted or rejected, and I know why, even though they'll never say it. I have the skills they want, I have the experience they want, that shouldn't be the issue. If I have what they want, the market should accommodate, but it doesn't, so far, now, I just have to hope that one does accommodate, so its moving through the trenches.

Hello, My name is Nick.
Currently, life circumstances are changing for me. My mother wants me out and she's only giving us, meaning me and my brothers, a short time to do it.
In this economy, it doesn't seem possible, but to her, it does and I do not know how I'm able to make this happen.
Right now, I'm going to need help, monitary assistance to help me get started while i look for employment, apply for benefits and other programs, and essentially build something from nothing because apparently, someone with very little connections and basically 0 powers can do that somehow. Regardless, the internet is where I know the most people and where I seek my refuge.
If people are willing to help me, I would appreciate your assistance.
The reason I don't have a goal is because I do not know how much I need, and while I have an appointment to get social security benefits, it will take 7 months to actually start getting payments transfered to my bank, according to my dad who knows quite a lot about this process.
I'm willing to either work for cash or return something in some way if donations don't suit you, I've already done small tasks for others before, helped with testing out a product that was mailed to me which I sent back to that person for cash, so I do have experience.

@nprofile…98lq Unfortunately, that is not possible. Even if I did go to california, I would not be able to live directly with him because he lives with our grandmother and her house is crowded. He's making calls of course to see what he can do to help, that I do not doubt, but even that takes time, of course, and I would already need to have employment before heading out because things cost there and I must be able to feed myself and have money for living expenses. I'll say this, he's a lot more willing to help than my mother, but even he has limits to his powers.

@nprofile…du2e Damn, so I was right. Pretty busy. Kind of wish there was a magic spell to help me with both honestly. I have an appointment to apply for benefits on the 10th along with a virtual job fair the same day and then I have a doctor's appointment on the 15th, but she's still giving us a month even though its basically impossible to do. Quite frankly, if I do manage to build my life and do well, she will receive nothing from me under any circumstance. My dad will get things because he's better. Part of me wishes I could use a little magic to make this easier but I am no magic wielder, unless you count Reiki as magic.
