Looking at the Windows 11 problems I still have my suspicions about people being normie retards and not admitting it:
. They clearly don't know how to setup a local account ( Yes it's still possible in Windows 11 )
. They bitch about sign in pestering that can be bypassed
. Terrible at messing with settings and quite tech illiterate ( A lot of them have the default appearance enabled as an example, you can make it behave like Windows 10 and move the icon to the left )
. They're installing debloat software they downloaded from a suspicious source on github ( Likely Indian ) which is probably the main cause of the BSODs but they won't admit this
. Don't have any understanding of BIOS settings despite playing themselves off as 'gamers' and they should understand now that modern multiplayer games are invasive as fuck when it comes to anti-cheat which is why they pester about secure boot settings
. Running on ancient Windows 10 OS systems and fucked themselves because they didn't upgrade not only their OS but their PC early enough before the RAM and SSD shortage like I did
And these people are trying to make it out they're going to hop onto Linux and everything will work fine for them LOL. Half their shit is going to break on Linux too because they'll have no idea what they're doing so they'll probably end up dual booting anyway. Or it will be classic Linux compatibility issues.
Kids today didn't grow out the womb like I did using MS-DOS prompts and 56k connections.

One conclusion I've come to now the dust has finally settled on the graphics card wars. Nvidia are a complete rip off and yes, I know most people know this. I don't think people appreciate though just how much value for money AMD offers.
If all you care about is 1080p gaming, Nvidia are completely pointless. Raytracing is hugely overrated and I consider 1440p and 4k to be a corpo psyop. They're trying to convince you that you need to buy it when in reality you're paying sometimes triple the price for fuck all performance and the quality isn't all that impressive either.
It feels like AMD are where you go for a solid PC build, then you buy an Intel Arc graphics card as a budget option if you can't afford that.

Limb damage has been a since Left 4 Dead and Fallout 3, checked it out and I remember the demo for this ages ago and eh. I will laugh at this retarded negative review that was left saying they were triggered by the game being so violent.
Reminds me of when Mortal Kombat came out and then Manhunt, I suppose doing these kind of games are great if you want to get free media attention by triggering some boomers. Can't really fault them for going that route because it does work, personally I want to upset some feminists.

Worse than that, multiple things:
. Security breach involving their auto-update that was swept under the rug, Ukraine activist hacked it and reportedly bricked people with IP addresses from Russia
. Nutjob of an executive from EA took over and was heavily pushing for ad revenue
. Runtime installation fees were being planned and they only backtracked because of the backlash
It was actually because of the security breach initially that I switched over to Godot, I ported my entire project over to it. At least now I don't have anything to worry about code wise and I can just stick with a specific version if they mess with anything.

Unity is a great case in point to be fair, at least with open source you can fork it, I like to have both options avaiable so I can always scurry back to the Godot fork if I have to.

It depends, Godot certainly shot themselves in the foot with the leftist virtue signalling and their community is abysmal. Looking at it purely in terms of software you're right, Unreal 5 is superior. I think though if you're looking to cut costs Godot is a good option, for example with the licensing and Godot being open source that's great for indies.
I think though if you plan on having any kind of meaningful graphical fidelity or plan on scaling up or making use of multiplayer hosting UE5 is worth learning.

Starting to understand how to grab specific actor references and things like that just like with Godot's node system so that's helpful. For the combat system will likely be using a mixture of OnOverlap events and distance calculations.

You're likely thinking of something like an FPS/RTS hybrid, there have been attempts but those have been multiplayer. With modern engines and hardware it's certainly possible to get it done and I'd be very interested in that sort of thing too. Really the only tricky thing would be balance, I could easily see some kind of sci-fi sim being like that where you've got ship boarding and planetary combat among other things.
DEI devs only care about pumping a live service scam out as fast as possible so it's down to indies to try out stuff like that and see if it sticks, I can see the potential.

It really does seem like one of the big reasons that games suck so hard now is not just the lack of optimisation knowledge going on with DEI devs.
If it's anything slightly more complex than using a third person template they completely fall apart which is why the cock up such basic things like putting together an RTS in the first place and avoid the whole genre. I think they stay away from the more interesting genres because they're too incompetent to put a basic prototype together and only know how to do tick boxes and basic visual programming because those are the types of people they've hired.

I've been poking at this, at best, you're going to be forced to do a soft region lock and that's what most websites seem to have done if you want to stay compliant. It can be easily bypassed via proxy and I also posted up an article about it, even the normies have realised how easy to get around it is.

Something I've been thinking about deeply in relation to my own work in the UK with the online safety bill being put into action. I don't think it's viable to make video games here anymore in the slightest, or for that matter any kind of remotely 'controversial' media.

In case anyone foreign is wondering, Rachel Reeves is in between appeasing her banker friends in London and anybody else who earns a significant income and there is a loud enough voter base in Labour who are ardent anti-capitalists that hate the private sector.

If she increases taxes this country is done, so I think what she's probably going to do is go after the pensions instead but then that will of course piss off all the boomers who still think state pensions are a thing.
Labour vote share will continue to tank as a result, likely this will give rise to Corbyn's allegedly soon to be established left wing party, greens will also take votes. Keir Starmer refusing to back statehood for Palestine as France has done will indicate to leftists he won't virtue signal for them so they'll go somewhere else.
TLDR: We're just about at the breaking point financially for the UK, expect a market crash.

I'll be the first to post it as somebody that will be part of the problem, Thailand has a bit of a westeren ex-pat problem anyway. Interestingly perhaps because of this the tourism bubble there has finally burst and Bangkok is filled with scams etc.
From what I've seen word is the insufferable western ex-pats are all choosing to go to Vietnam as another country to ruin. If you go foreign you basically want to pick a country that leftists hate on openly and think is racist towards foreigners which is why Japan is ideal for me.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised, we're definitely being socially engineered for some hardcore socialism. They've already nationalised steel and trains, I think that was them putting out feelers to see how much resistance there would be from the public. I've been doing proper wargaming and calculations on this based on how much debt the normies are accruing. Forget about government spending, they're up to their fucking eyeballs in mortgages and credit card debt, instead of cutting back so many of them are quadrupling down and using even more debt the creditors are only too happy to lend them instead of telling them to fuck off.
They've been trying to mass import Pakistani Muslims and Indians to offset this and get them to pay taxes. Except the migrants are just as retarded when it comes to their financial decisions. I can see it everywhere I look now given I'm in the thick of it here in the north. They're all out buying themselves Audis and SUVs that look extremely expensive, inevitably it will all be on debt. These families are on benefits or working 9 to 5 minimum wage jobs and they're buying semi-detached houses at a minimum that have their own fancy gates and driveways which will be upward of £200,000 that they obviously can't afford.
TLDR: The shit will hit the fan harder than in the 2008 sub-prime mortgage bubble, I don't plan on being anywhere near civilisation when it happens because it will be worse than a nuke.

That was a pretty funny side to history, unfortunately there are other sad cases where you have Russian women coming over to the US for example, starting a family and everything and then they just ditch their American husband who were none the wiser. There was a quite high profile case where this woman came home and she was treated like a pop idol by the Russian media, man that must have fucking hurt the American guy hard.

Best guess is it's basic bitch AI at it's finest, probably sighting you with a raycast and they pop off a lucky shot through all the vegetation etc. it's such a joke they even have vegetation in these games but muh 'realistic graphics'. If you have grass etc. switched on switch it off if you can and more often than not it instantly makes sense why they can sight you.
My personal favourite is when they can magically lob perfect grenade arcs at you despite the fact you're in cover and out of sight but that's for other singleplayer games rather than Tarkov. Though it wouldn't surprise me if they did that too.

We've got a major army recruitment crisis in this country and it's another elephant in the room the media refuses to acknowledge before it's too late. One thing I hadn't considered is given it's a bit of a conspiracy theory that the migrants are here to replace us and be their army it would be extremely funny if Keir Starmer issued an ultimatum to them and told them they had to join in order to retain their benefits or something.

It's becoming much more clear now especially given the EA executives rather frankly based comments about RPG gamers that one of the big reasons everything is so shit now is because everyone currently in the games industry though they could get away with it.

Stopped trying to play Apex Legends because it was just making me rage as multiplayer games do. To illustrate how bad the overall playerbase has gotten at playing video games on CS:2 you now you have multiple matches where people drop the bomb and nobody picks it up.
Good luck trying to fix the problem of no skill players by going into ranked matches because like every other game it's hacker and smurf central.
Multiplayer gaming is truly awful these days, I also love how other players have caught on to Marvel Rivals' problems. You've got what's known as insta-lockers and there's even apparently a mod for it, these people lock onto their 'favourite' character and it's almost always a DPS player who can't even get any kills but they insist on making people play other roles.
Absolute cancer, almost reminds me of Battlefield back in the day where you would have players who would constantly get into the jets and never get any kills.

Most immediate problems all seem to revolve around breeding, so I'll focus on fixing that at the moment. Aging as well, the children when they grow up aren't displaying their interfaces correctly when it's suppose to be active.
I think I'll also make some proper debugging tools so I can know when breeding is properly active or not as well among other things.

It really does seem like forming groups in multiplayer games is necessary now if you want to maintain your sanity :( gaming has gone far too mainstream. It seems you don't even bother playing on weekends most times because the normies are out in force as well as script kiddies and you're often going to get dumped on awful teams.
Alternatively any kind of holiday? Yeah forget about it, that's also when the hacking is most prevalent because little Timmy bought wallhacks with his mom's credit card and now he's ruining entire servers and it's impossible to play.

Random but this just popped up onto my timeline so I thought I'd chime in. There are two ways to deal with this as somebody who's an expert on hyper no sleep behaviour, the sensible approach is to ween yourself off the weird hours by putting your bedtime a couple of hours before you normally go to sleep and just drift off then work your way back to normie hours.
The other approach is to simply tough it out ( not with caffeine that will fuck you up ) and wait until about 20:00 - 21:00 to fall asleep then you'll be back again but you have to have willpower to do that. You might be hyperactive for a reason though so unless you get that out of your system it won't work.
For me it's often getting a bit too excited about some code or other piece of work I'm dealing with. I suppose if you were a bit ridiculous you could take the approach of exercising a ton as well to knock yourself out almost.

It seems like even the youtube tech reviewers are coming to the conclusion that a lot of other people are, Nvidia card are overpriced as fuck.
I'm probably going to be avoiding Nvidia as much as I can with any upgrade paths or new builds, AMD and Intel Arc cards seem like perfectly fine alternatives. I'm finding Intel cards particularly attractive because of the price and they seem way more reasonable mid-range cards than even the AMD.
It's just something to think about considering the current market.

Honestly that sounds like maybe anorexia, something odd going on there. I've found it really interesting doing all sorts of research into it, I remember seeing some doctor pointing out you need some degree of fat in your body.
I know I'm preaching to the choir but I think it's important to put that information out there and this is the equivalent of what women go through if they try to starve themselves to get ultra thin. Then they struggle getting the weight back and make themselves really ill. Body builders are starving themselves in order to get that ab look and put their body under severe stress.
Yes don't worry I'm not doing any of that, one of my favourite examples of the old calorie deficit and anorexia extremes is the classic vegan look. They're completely gaunt and can't do physical activity properly, then they end up having to eat fish and eggs or something to get their protein levels back up especially.

Did you go extreme anorexia and end up cutting out way more than you should? I've seen what happens to people who do that. It's why body builders have to rely on vitamin pills and protein shakes. They can't maintain their weight properly.
I'm going to be very careful about not doing that and make sure I eat well.

I don't know, it's been ages since I've looked into Intel chips properly, realistically though that happens to all chips over time, they're metal components after all. Granted, there have been some issues with Intel chips as well as the new generation of Nvidia cards.
It could possibly be if there were a few scandals it scared people off and now they're flush with stock so they're trying to get rid of it compared to the Ryzen CPUs, that would make sense. If they generally fixed everything it wouldn't be anything to worry about.

Getting lots of RL stuff out of the way now so I can focus way more, I think I'm getting a better feel for my hand workflow when dealing with a full human model. There's a perfectly valid workflow other artists use where they have a separate hand model but I like this simpler method.
You can always add more polygons as necessary and you know for a fact you won't be making any mistakes on the topology for the rest of the model.
