Es gibt kein "Verbrenner aus", gab's noch nie.
Gefordert ist CO2 Neutralität. WIE die erreicht wird, ist nicht festgelegt. Wenn jemand meint, dass mit eFuels und Verbrennern hinzubekommen: Bitte schön.
Es wäre wirklich angebracht, das nicht mehr unter "Verbrenner aus" zusammenzufassen.

Hm.
"Profis" wird ja inzwischen meist verwendet für "Leute die es können" und "Amateur" für "Leute die damit Geld verdienen, obwohl sie es nicht können."
Ich denke also "…Menschen, die etwas machen, weil sie es lieben" ist nicht "vulgo: Amateur".
Und wenn der Dachdecker seinen Job hasst es aber trotzdem richtig macht wäre mir der dann doch lieber als der, der richtig Spass an der Sache hat es aber leider dabei vergeigt.

True. VLC is for images just a rough and quick way to view a pic - not much more.
On macOS my tool to do more is btw. GraficConverter

In case you do not know it:
This app reads/converts/writes virtually EVERY image format which is out there, is also a basic image processing tool, knows all the details (resolution/color-room, full EXIF with EXIF tool, sizes etc.etc.) can do resizing, recompression, cropping, dia-shows, batch manipulation....

Yeah I know, a bit of an obscure Feature. I learned that by accidend some years ago. AFAIK it was partly supported since V2 and officially since 2018 / V3.0

No, I am talking about the VLC you know, which also is an audio player and image viewer ( which many people do not know). Give it a try.

Tja und nun hat also STRATO und IONOS DMARC aktiviert (web.de vermutlich auch) und als Regel eben auch tatsächlich "reject" als default.
Das heisst so in etwa 1/3 aller deutschen Mailacounts.
Und sehr viel Outlookserver fragen das brav ab und handeln auch danach, leider vergessend, dass sie beim Virencheck die Mail SELBER so verändert haben, dass der absenden Server nicht mehr der Richtige ist.

Sieht so aus als ob Outlook nach Virencheck die Mail nicht weiterleitet, sonder im Zuge des Checks eine NEUE Mail generiert die alte da reinkopiert und die dann weiterleitet.
Nur das absendender Server jetzt eben NICHT mehr der ist, der als Absender drin steht, sonder der Virencheckende Outlook server SELBER. Aber Outlook kann DMARC und erfährt dann vom ursprünglich Sendeserver: Also nee, wenn die angeblich von mir ist, aber in echt nicht, dann Mail bitte nicht zustellen.

DMARC. Gut Sache: Ein empfangender Mailserver kann beim sendenden Server nachfragen, ob er für die angebliche Absenderdomain zuständig ist und was der Empfangende machen soll, falls NICHT. Standardantwort ist dann: NICHT zustellen.
Weil Spammer das gerne machen: Absenderdomain fälschen. DMARC ist also ein brauchbarer Spam-Schutz
Outlook kann DMARC, aber Outlook kann leider auch Virencheck.

We celebrate Christmas, but not in a commercial way. So NONE of the options given are for me.
Interesting that even here on Mastodon celebrating Christmas can ONLY mean something with "shopping" and if you do not purchase stuff, it can only mean that you do not celebrate Christmas.

In Safe Mode it does not save at all. If I hit cmd+S I get about 20 seconds beachball and then NOTHING - no safe dialog, Libre Office acts a nothing had happened.
Interesting_ I can not even save a file in Safe Mode... LOL
Currently running still macOS 10.15 Intel on my main work machine, but had the same effect on other macOS machines.

First safe: You create a document and want to safe it or the first time. That causes LibreOffice (on my machines) to beachball for up to 2 minutes. Saving changes to existing files work fine. This problem is existing since the last 3-4 versions or so.
Boot time: Yes, startup time. Time untill you can actually start to write is quote long with up 40 seconds.
This problem exists like forever. I do not consider it as a bug - still: even MSWD is way faster.
