While the problems are elsewhere, US has (waning) reserve currency status and the sickest nation. We have the most expensive healthcare with worst outcomes and are funding these forever wars.

Seeing the update to this chart every 6 months really puts into perspective how out of control hospital services and medical care prices are compared to overall price inflation.
Despite amazing technological advances in the medical field that should be bringing down prices over time (see price changes for goods without heavy handed government regulation like TVs and tech software), pricing in healthcare has risen 256% since 2000 at an accelerating rate.
Inflation is theft because it guarantees that you lose purchasing power year over year, stealing your time and even contributing to health declines by increasing stress of everyone in the economy.
#bitcoin can help buck this trend in healthcare by a sound money for providers to build upon, aligning incentives and enabling direct connections with patients, cutting out the middlemen. We have seen the growth practice models providing transparent pricing and holistic care to members, such as in the Direct Primary Care model which I believe #bitcoin can strengthen further.

WTF happened in 1971?
The US "temporarily" suspended the convertibility of gold for dollars and became a fiat system, with no tie to sound money and printed out of thin air.
Issuing money "by decree" rather than in a free or natural way has distorted pricing signals, leading to perverse incentives and outcomes none more evident than in the heavily regulated healthcare industry.
For example, we've seen a 3000+% growth in middlemen administrators since the 1970s, while physician growth flatlined and faces significant provider shortages today.
