I like to find out how things work.

I'm a SWE at Google in Los Angeles (this feed is all personal stuff).

that's why I said you have to align the segment address for it to work that way. The max range of a single segment setting is 64k.

my favorite thing about this is the 1981 IBM PC had literally 4 rows of ram chips each making up 64k which is exactly one segment size.
So if you space out your segments by 64k then the segment register is literally just selecting which of the 4 rows of chips to use.
You can also expand it with an additional 10 non-overlapping segments for 14 total (the rest of the address space is ROM).

there's also the noise introduced by the GPU scheduler doing the matrix multiplies in a different order which produces different results because float is not associative.
Surely they meant that... Right?...
But also probably that isn't true random either.

it's on Peacock called "Three-Body" it definitely had a lower budget than Netflix but they basically follow the book exactly while Netflix adapted it.
I'm so excited for them to do the next book

watch Three Body Problem. There's a western Netflix version and a version made by a Chinese production company, the second one is much closer to the book.
I also really both For All Mankind and Silo on Apple TV. For All Mankind is incredible and it's alt history if the space race kept going in the 70s and they do so much cool space stuff. Silo is a little different, it's kind of a mystery. The new season is out now. I read the books for Silo and liked them.
