A Random Game Design Question:
Are there many campaign narratives that are about achieving a positive outcome, rather than avoiding or alleviating a negative one? I'm thinking particularly about games where the player acts as a single character.
Sports games tend to do this, but in action RPGs we always seem to be preventing an apocalypse or rescuing a puppy.

Hey so what do folks use for external, immovable deadlines? I recently showed Monster Bop at a geek market thingy and it was super effective at helping me focus my efforts and attention.
But it's done now and I need another one. Ideally around Feb/March.
There don't seem to be any festival or compo entries closing then, GDC isn't on the cards for me, and I can't seem to find any other public expo opportunities.
Any suggestions?

Can we try a blanket ban on debate kids entering politics? Anybody who argues for fun and sport regardless of whether they're right probably shouldn't be allowed to make important decisions.
I dunno how this plays out in other countries, but in Australia politicians with debating backgrounds are almost universally total shitbags.

It's weird that they choose to train it on narration instead of conversation. I guess the former is easier to collect, and perhaps better matches the tone of the text output.

I've changed my Zeldish game from killing monsters to just bopping them so they fly backwards, and I'm having a lot of fun adding interactions with the stuff they fly into.
But now there's a terrible urge to start adding puzzles, and I feel like if I turn my head fast enough I'll see @npub1krx…3ay4 lurking in the shadows with some sort of mind control device.
