That audio page is an interesting one.
It's not tied to a specific release, but gives an overview of different components and how the audio story evolved over *multiple* releases:
"From Ubuntu 8.04 to Ubuntu 22.10, PulseAudio was the default sound server. This solved most of the limitations associated with using ALSA directly, such as software mixing, per-app volume, and device hotplugging [...]"
It's good background, but not critical for most users, so doesn't go in the official docs.

Hey @npub1qqs…k4s5 . Good question. If a contributor wants to add info about any arbitrary Ubuntu version, they can. There's probably not much interest in gaming on 8.04, for example, but a wiki can have that kind of niche information.
I don't expect the entire wiki to be versioned and aligned with every release. It's not feasible. Something like that is more likely for the [official Desktop documentation](https://documentation.ubuntu.com/desktop/en/latest/), which will be the authoritative docs for users of supported releases.

We are working on a new Ubuntu wiki. The goal is to have a place where it is quick and easy to collaborate on interesting content for Ubuntu users.
In the latest post about the Ubuntu wiki project, we focus on some of the features that we have been testing.
