I live in a part of the country where a #FuckElonMusk sticker can result in fatal road rage with a firearm.
There are also quite of few #Uber and #Lyft drivers who drive a Tesla (they qualify for additional EV incentives and better paying Comfort and Premier rides)
Unsolicited written or verbal political statements from your Uber driver is rarely beneficial. For the Uber driver, it can result in low ratings and no tips. Ratings and tips are critical for ride share drivers

Or imagine the entire EU legally blocks or attack all Fediverse servers. The #Fediverse continues on the African and Asian continents.
The West could block it or #BRICS could block it. It will still persist. Users have the ability to move their accounts from 1 server to another fairly easily now.

It is absolutely resilient to legal actions. Let's say 90% of servers are shutdown due to legal action. There is still 10% available and the #Fediverse persists. Some of the shutdown servers will come back in the near future after this event because it is not hard to move a Fediverse server to other infrastructure in a country where it is not legally threatened. The users can then use #VPN technology.

it is resilient to both concrete censorship and if it is a target. For example if all the sudden there was a DDoS attack against some Fediverse servers, there are 22,667 other ones available to use, distributed all over the world. This number will be increasing in the near future.

It would be extremely hard to shut the Fediverse down on a global scale. If the #USA bans it, then users can migrate to Fediverse servers anywhere else in the world. There are currently 22,668 Fediverse servers :)

One absolutely fantastic feature of the #Fediverse is that because a Mastodon user can view a PixelFed user's content, you only have to use 1 account and you can connect with any #ActivityPub user content. #Mastodon #PixelFed #Friendica #Lemmy #Loops
#instagram #TikTok #reddit #Facebook DO NOT have this feature. You need to have individual accounts with each #SociaMedia service.
This can help simplify life a little in this crazy world we live in!

Watching the images of these fires on TV I am quite concerned about the respiratory health of firefighters and citizens impacted. #N95 are very helpful for particular filtration, however it doesn't remove all poisonous and heated gases from a fire like this.
