I was thinking, "He must be referring to a newer vehicle." I've replaced several alternators, and it's always been easier than expected. Only one was a post-2000 vehicle though.

I've been thinking about making an org based on repealing laws. Even when legislators find one they don't like, they usually make a new one to counter the old one, instead of just repealiing and getting the old law off the books.

Not really. My dad used to steal from me to teach me lessons about hiding my money, etc. That might have been good if I was the type of son to not listen to him, but I always heeded his advice elsewhere.
All it really did was make him a thief, and teach me not to trust him.
Being disrespectful to your own children is horrible parenting.

It's a way of preserving eggs for a year, or two, without refrigeration, by using the mineral lime. The term comes from putting them in glass jars.
Chickens usually don't produce as many eggs in winter, and produce an abundance in summer, so this is a great way to balance that out. Or to have spare eggs on hand if predators take out a good portion of your flock. That's common in spring when predators need to feed their young.

If you're really in business, currency isn't the focus. There are acceptable terms, but the focus is elsewhere after that's been established.

There are two versions of the book.
[SPOILERS BELOW]
In the original story, Alex is "cured", then tries to get the gang back together. They've all grown up, have wives and kids, and aren't interested.
So, Alex finds some teens, and forms a new gang. After some sorties with them, he comes to the realization that this behavior is immature, and quits.
In the edition that was bound (no pun intended) for the UK, they removed the part where he realizes that gang life is immature.

I watched this "solo" when I was in primary school. Flipping through channels, I saw guys in clown masks, and decided to watch. The scene quickly turned violent, and I knew I probably shouldn't be watching it. So far, no ill effects.

One of the greatest movies made! If you watch closely, you'll see James Earl Jones in his debut. Peter Sellers plays multiple roles, and hits a home run with each. George C Scott's performance is impeccible.
When Slim Pickens arrived for an audition, he was wearing his normal attire: cowboy hat, cowboy boots, jeans, and a western shirt. The film staff thought he had dressed in costume to be "in character".
When production started, Kubrick didn't intend for the movie to be a comedy, then realized that a comedy was better suited.

In the same way that authors are better off having someone else proof-read/edit their works, nearly every dev is the worst person to QA their code.
In the commercial world, a large part of being a QA engineer is the psychology of informing a dev that their code isn't perfect.
In the non-commercial world, many devs prefer to ignore any (or all) criticisms, aside from the program crashing, or complete failure of some basic functionality. Even then, I've seen where devs say they don't care about the user. I'm baffled why those devs publish to begin with.
Even the devs that do care about making a polished product, they often can't put themselves in the position of ignorance and lofty expectations that many users will have. In fact, most people are not good about putting themselves in someone else's shoes. A vast majority of people cannot overcome their own bias.
It really takes someone with a good imagination to create proper tests, outside of the rote panel of test cases. The best replacement to that is "the actual user", but when devs ignore a message that translates to "more work, and not really fun work", they'll tend to turn a blind eye.

I've been researching subjects, collecting all the data contained in the articles, and re-editing (and sometimes writing) to publish a complete story. These articles are from mainstream news sources and science journals.
Almost all the published articles that I find are written by AI, and there's something shocking I've learned. AI is really shitty at writing. Nearly every article I've read would not get a grade above a "D" from any of my grade-school English teachers. There are constant run-on sentences. Sentences that are broken into pieces and stitched together, in a way that makes readability a total nightmare. The regular misuse of punctuation is rampant.
Todays articles are like six-fingered hands in an AI "photo". THEY SUCK.
I'm still baffled that writers have been fired to be replaced by something that is such an abyssmal failure. My only explanation is that people probably only look at the headlines and tell-tale bulleted points before the intro, and then move on.
I'd prefer your "English as a second language" writing to any of that crap.

There's a theory that DMT (5-MeO-DMT) might exist in nearly all plants, just in small amounts. Psilocin is 4-HO-DMT, so it's not toofar away in a molecular sense.
I'm assuming that tobacco must be easier to genetically alter, or we're just more used to it. One of the early genetic lab exercises was splicing a gene into tobacco plants from fireflies (or something that glows), to make the roots glow in the dark.

From my experience in competitive speech, and doing radio, I can't listen to most audio shows.
Just because someone owns wrenches and a lift, doesn't mean they're a mechanic.
Just because someone has a microphone, and the ability to record/stream, doesn't mean they're any good at speaking, and especially interviewing.
I can also tell that most hosts don't listen to their own shows, which is imperative when broadcasting.

That's a tough one, because I usually prefer to go to new places, and I've been to Norway a couple of times. However, it's one of the few places that's more beautiful than the paradise I call home.
I would probably choose Japan though. I haven't been to Asia, and I would love to visit rural areas of Japan.

The story I mentioned is just the first 36 minutes of the youtube video. I listened to it last night to see if my memory was accurate after ~10 years. 🤣
I think a "quantum double" is thinking small. I see it more like infinite versions of ourselves. I played with jumping from one quantum state to another, and had an interesting result. When talking to family members about my past, we have stories that differ to the point of "not being possible".
I'm wondering that if I were to do it again, and to a greater extreme, if I would appear insane to the people that are closest to me, since there may be even a greater disconnect in our memories. I guess, if there are infinite states, one could keep their past entact while changing quantum states, but that's probably beyond novice level.

I would say it comes down to choosing battles. If a pre-built component becomes regularly hostile (Axios), it's better to forge your own. Doing that for every component, even the ones that are solid, can have you never leaving the forge.
I worked with a guy in 2006 that wanted to do privatized space flight. I was excited about his lofty goal. Over the next couple of years, I started learning that he continually wanted to build everything himself. Flightsuits, the components of flightsuits... he probably wanted to mine the metals too.
Learning to leverage the work of others is important, it's how great things are built. At the same time, blindly relying on others is destined for failure.

I'm in alignment with knowing the truth, as that's been my path for this lifetime, and it probably started before that.
Since all experience is perceived in the mind, all experience is simulated internally. So in that context, we have an answer.
I believe we're living a dream, with "reality" being an "infinite now" that surrounds it. In that sense, our external stimuli could be considered to be simulated.
So there is an example of our experiences internal and external being a simulation. However, in order for there to be a simulation, it must be anchored in "reality".
After writing this, I am reminded of a person that visited a sacred site that was considered a doorway. He had befriended a local shaman that gave him some words to repeat while standing in this "door". His girlfriend at the time, who later became his wife, said she saw him disappear when he repeated the words while standing in this sacred place.
He claims to have been transported to a white space/room. He heard a voice, which was surprised at the man's presence, and asked asked the man where he was from. "Earth", he replied, and the voice confirmed he had heard of it. Then explained that he was part of a science team that was playing with black hole energy, and accidentally made one that started expanding. To save themselves, they contained it with a construct of energy beams, and that constrained area is our universe. He then sent the man back to the doorway, where his worried girlfriend saw him reappear.

You'll have to "swipe it away" on the screen where you can switch between currently running apps. If that doesn't work, you may have to go to Settings->Apps->Amethyst and clear the cache.
If that doesn't work, do what I do; use version 0.94.3 😉
