> In the piece — titled "Can You Fool a Self Driving Car?" — Rober found that a Tesla car on Autopilot was fooled by a Wile E. Coyote-style wall painted to look like the road ahead of it, with the electric vehicle plowing right through it instead of stopping.
> The footage was damning enough, with slow-motion clips showing the car not only crashing through the styrofoam wall but also a mannequin of a child. The Tesla was also fooled by simulated rain and fog.

> Xun started vaping last year, she said, as a way to begin the process of quitting cigarettes. She also has a "bunch of friends who vape," many of whom "are very attached to their vapes." But she's not naive about vaping's well-documented risks, and began to wonder if "gamifying" her nicotine use might help her disincentivize it. In the first iteration of the project, hitting the vape would actually murder the digital pet, and thus would ideally work to guilt-trip the user into not inhaling.
> "There's a big trend of parental locking yourself," Camacho added. "I'm locked out of certain apps behind a password that Rebecca knows, so I don't scroll Instagram too much. It would be cool if you could have that for nicotine."
> But then, explained Xun, Camacho "found this Stupid Hackathon. And we were like, it'd be kind of funnier to be evil."

> Riley Sennott, 26, is listed as a "senior advisor" in an internal NASA directory, similar to the nebulous titles given to some DOGE staff in other agencies. His name and involvement with DOGE have not been previously reported.
> Like many other DOGE workers, he deleted his LinkedIn profile and made his X account private in recent months. However, Sennott did not make the Google Calendar linked to his personal email address private.
> Anyone with the address could see every appointment Sennott had on the calendar going back to 2016. On January 6, for example, the calendar included a 15-minute event titled "Riley Sennott and DOGE Recruiting." The invite came from a Gmail address that DOGE appeared to be using for recruiting.
> A calendar appointment from 2023 noted that Sennott "is currently working with a non-profit team in Ukraine to efficiently deliver aid and support evacuations." The blurb said that Sennott studied symbolic systems and environmental studies in college, "briefly dabbled in consulting," and has an "entrepreneurial spirit." His calendar also showed several events related to an internship at Booz Allen Hamilton in 2021.
> "The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has arrived onsite at the agency. We anticipate that they will start reviewing our contracts to find efficiencies," the email reads, according to a copy reviewed by BI.

Not a good look for Firefox. Third partners and device fingerprinting clearly mentioned in the documents.
The move is the latest development in a series of shifts Mozilla has undergone over the past year.
The gecko engine and Firefox forks, such as Tor, Mullvad, Librewolf, and Arkenfox, are stables of private, open source web browsing.
In fact, Mozilla's is one of the few browser engines out there, in a protocol-heavy industry that many say only corporate or well-funded non-profits can reliably develop.
What is more, daily driving the more hardened-for-privacy Firefox derivatives can be frowned upon by many sites, including your bank and workplace.
Mozilla's enshittification leaves the open source community without a good alternative to Firefox, after years of promoting it as a privacy-friendly alternative to spyware-cum-browser Chrome.

I have met a couple of them in real life, and a few I have met online. The sample is not significant enough to draw any conclusions about their point of view and background.
I am more than interested in your opinions about the personality and political makeup of people who express this type of pro-C bigotry.
